This was my parents favorite place to go for 45 years. I have never been there and was curious. I really liked that you went into some of the shops. My mother loved to shop and bought souvenirs there. My dad loved the boats. There are pictures of mom by the carousel, and I have the carousel horse statue she bought there. Wish I could have gone with them.
It’s a great place and I’ve gone there for many many years. It warms my heart to know your folks have memories of that place. There is some major construction happening with the area in about 4-5 years where the seaport village we know today will be gone. So if you wanted to visit it you should probably plan to come visit within the next couple of years.
