U should get a tent for the bed of ur truck , i got one , its so nice not sleeping in the truck or on the ground , and bro if u want crispy hash browns u have to throw butter in the pan first not water , let them go like 3 min then flip them , they will get crispy , then pull them out and cook ur fish , ur steaming everything with all that water , great catches and awesome video , that brookie was a tank
Thanks for the tips man! The tent that I usually use is missing all the poles.. no idea where they went but the back of the truck will have to do for now.
That bigger male brook was pretty. 2lbs at least. Nothing wrong with getting outdoors when you're feeling funky. I'd even say it helps to get some sunshine and clean mountain air.
Great video! Those Brookies were beautiful and those Tigers…..insane. I like how those fish jump across the water. You really do catch some quality fish.
Big ol' mouth breather brookie. That was solid. If you can find a lake that has some big Tri Tips in it, that Santa Maria seasoning will be the ticket.
Eating mushrooms unless you know exactly what they are is very dangerous! ❤. My advice is, unless you know for sure, don’t risk it. You could easily wind up dead! Great video! Thank you so much!
Another great video!! Great job with the fly rod! Hope you’re feeling better soon!! If you want your hash browns crispy you need to pour boiling water into the carton let it soak for 12 minutes then put it in a hot skillet with butter and that will make them crispy!
Hit Cliff Lake in the Uintas this weekend and it was garbage fishing.. only had a Tiger Trout in 6 hours using a fly rod and spinning rod. Glad to see someone making it happen, and happy to see this lake is not so pressured
yeah theres a lot of that going around. the last two weeks i went to 4 lakes that i think totally winter killed. I saw a couple fingerlings at two of them and salamanders at the other. They said the winter kill wasn't as bad as expected but i think they're lying..
dude! so much courage to go out and fish instead of lying down. Hope you feel better soon. For your next cook, what if you cook the potatoes to a crisp first, once they're where you want them push them to the side and fry the fish in butter?🐟
Great video!!!! That looks so fun, I have a small lake near my house and I thought of using an indicator with a small tan or olive scuds. I used power worms with a drop shot rig and it was money!!! But all the rainbows I caught and kept were full of little fresh water snails. We have Dolly Varden in Alaska that are cousins of the Brooke trout and we can catch them in creeks this time of year and they look a lot like those Brookies you are catching. This time of year they are getting ready to spawn, they usually are chrome with tan back and light pink spots. I am surprised you didn’t try tube jigs there. Great video!!!
Thanks for the two episodes I one, love the long videos. Try some colabs with other RU-vidrs to try and help grow the channel. Maybe merch? You should have way more subscribers than you do
Been real stressed lately over work and your videos got me relaxed and chilling. Waiting for Wednesday to go get some fishing in on my day off. I had a question about the fly rod you use. Could you link your fly rod setup please. Thank you again and keep up the good work hopefully you feel better soon!
good luck man! Glad you enjoy the videos! The rod I usually use is linked in all my other fly fishing videos. this one isnt a combo and i dont have a link for it. but the rod is a piscifun sword 9ft 5wt, and a cheeky reel.
mushrooms, cactus, berries. lots of edible stuff around here if you know what your looking for. Id like to get a book and learn whats edible and whats not. But yeah id like to do videos like that!
Airtight hear me out. If the next video is a fly fishing video, I'm going to go out and get a fly fishing set up and start learning. Thanks for the video.
Only thing i would think might might but I’m not 100% sure might be to not set the hook as hard with a fly pole cause the hook are smaller and it’s easier to pull it out of their mouth usually just tension will get them
nice brookie - but every tine you touch or net one you remove the protective layer of slime which causes damage and I cant help but wonder how many died after being released
That mushroom was a bolete of some kind I’m not exactly sure if it’s edible but for puffballs as long as it’s white all the way through and smooth you’re good. Any yellow or browning, any patterns on the inside or any gills then stay away
Hello, ive been watching your vieos for a while now and ive been trying to fish with fly rod so im a newbie can you make a video of your fly setup. Thanks
Next time if you get cold in the middle of the night go throw logs on the fire and pass out next to it parents would freak out looking for me and then laugh at me I’d wake up already dirty haha
Great video as always, good job,can anyone tell me what purpose of all those large bolders is,as apposed to just nature growth,to allow one to get to the bank safely??
