Sehr schöne Funde. Ich hab vor paar Wochen auch einiges gefunden. (Bei Jachymov). Ich muss aber definitiv mehr auf Hygiene achten, hatte keine Handschuhe an und hab mir erst später die Hände gewaschen. Jetzt sind aber alle Steine staubsicher verpackt.
Bei Pechblende geht das immer noch, bei den Sekundärmineralien muss man vorsichtig sein. Da hat man in Sekunden alles kontaminiert. Zum Glück sieht man das meiste davon unter UV-Licht.

Honestly the gamma scout is like a children's learning toy (babies first Geiger counter), but with a hefty price tag. cheapo plastic, non rechargeable battery (unless you buy the more expensive model), and not very good buttons. i would rather use that money to buy a different device or save enough for a RadEye or a new Ludlum.
Yes, it´s not a very good device. For me personally the RadEye series also looks like a "professional baby toy"... never liked the design but certainly well made and dependable equipment. Ludlum is not common in Europe. I don´t like how heavy and bulky they are. They look like they come from the CDV-700 era in the 50s. I like the Automess 6150 series most, simply because they are reliable, well build, sturdy enough to put a nail in the wall, energy compensated, offer different probes and so on.
