A 2-speed model of the infamous Sears Homart Cooler whole house window fan. This is one of, if not the most, powerful window fans ever made. It is belt-driven and extremely quiet, operated by a Craftsman shaded pole motor.
I've been looking for one of these for many years but haven't been able to find one locally. This one I got at the fan meet this year, hosted at the Alliance Fire House in Pennsylvania. The unit was originally recovered from somewhere in the building. While it probably hasn't been used in many years, it's definitely seen some action at some point.
It needs a good cleaning and a new belt, but is in otherwise quite good condition. I suspect it will clean up to look like new. I intend to set this up such that it can be used in one of the studio room's windows. I suspect it will be strong enough to move air through the majority of the house.
