Just getting back into league for the first time in 7 years and this is singlehandedly the best video ive ever watched about league, very good information, no extra fluff, some jokes thrown in. Please keep it up Eagz!!
Just started the video and I already want to praise you for just jumping into things. No ad read, no preamble about how "everyone says jungling is hard / sucks / impossible / busted" (etc.) just right into the content. Thanks for that.
Very informative video! I have an incredible tip for whoever is struggling with the F keys, like I did. I changed them to Z, X, C for Top, Mid, Adc in the same order. I leave out the Support because they usually just beside someone. It has improved my tracking significantly, in more ways than I can describe.
Also one thing atleast imo that f keys provide decent information on is wavestates or the timings you get associated with it especially in like setting up dives. Knowing when roughly you have to be at the enemy tower or your teammates tower to counter for example
As always Eagz is stating cold hard facts and giving priceless information for FREE. Amazing stuff brother and great takes on the most misunderstood league role
just started to jungle, i dont know what to do when my laner is weaker, or lose the lane, feel like camping them is no point at all, sometimes champ like darius may just slash us both. When i turn away for my camp, the lose laner can not even see the cs, but if i go for win lane and give them up, there will be a fed / full farm enemy in the late game, or heavy snowball the whole half map in mid game :(
Hi Eagz! Thanks for the tutorial! What do you do if you have a team comp where they'll never get a prio since they are a scaling champ or just doesn't have anything to guarantee a kill, like Kayle, Kassadin, Lulu & Jinx. I've had this comp before and it was such a struggle to gank a lane or get objectives, I end up farming or invading instead.
then what i say in the video bro, you farm camps on the map unless there's a kill...don't feel bad about farming camps when you sincerely believe you can't kill anyone, happens
When it comes to tempo, what do you think about building symbiotic soles for the empowered recall on champs that arent super reliant on stat boots? Since junglers are always moving youll be able to level it up, and the out of combat movespeed is insane when it comes to coming in for a gank or chasing down potential kills. Though, im not sure how truly powerful the empowered recall is though considering how often junglers have empowered recalls midgame due to taking herald.
i kinda like the idea to speed up tempo but you don’t need to bro, the diff between you attacking/defending tempo won’t change because your recall is quicker
The only question i have is how to jungle with 3 losing lanes... i had a disgusting 11 games lose streak this week and in all 11 games i had 3 losing lanes where everyone was around 0/3 at min 5.. this is my second season and my first season jungle and i have no idea how to play with 3 losing lanes.. they cant move and they lose vision Control so i cant gank without my Ult (Rengar, Nocturn, Eve) - my Champ pool..
at 24:36 you explain 3 camp start into recall vs strong lvl 3 junglers. but what stops them from taking your camps and waiting for you to come? is the idea to buy early component for power, and get assist from rotating team? or do we mirror by taking their camps? what if they start on same side as you so their topside is cleared when they invade your botside jungle?
in actuality if you go for that gromp as belveth the enemy botlane is closer so theyll rotate on you and yours will just hit the tower while you die lmao
Brain to smol to take other players sums, Rs, camp timers into account. Not even consider defining what enemy camps are up by jungler cs. Souns like rocket science
1 problem that i face constantly while jungling is that I do not understand when to stop forcing. Ex. I dive bot with my bot lane and get kills now the dragon is up but my botlane needs to back to sped their gold. Do I ping dragon or just farm camps. Another example is I get kills on the top lane and enter the enemy jungle how many camps do I take before the enemy top laner spawn and I get two manned because again my laner has to base to spend the gold.(If it seems like a dumb question its because I am IRON so yeah.)
the enemy champs will tell you if you can or can’t make a play - don’t think, ‘we just dove their bot lane can i do dragon on top of it?’ the question is, ‘can i do dragon given the state of every champion on the rift?’
I am on good path but I sometimes get lost sice I dont play much Also this season is way different since there are people on inflated elo and people hard stuck, in emerald there are silver-diamonds mix and not many emerald players, games are decided in first 12 min and ethier team stomps I gotta learn playing from losing side better and lean timming and Tempo properly cose I'm playing of memory/gut feeling and I get lost in tracking stuff then it snowballs
I’ve pretty much never commented on a RU-vid Video and just want to take a second to say how much this video helped me. I haven’t played League for 2 years, and placed Bronze, and was seemingly hard stuck for 20 games. I watched this twice and quite literally the game after dominated the enemy jungler and helped our team win. Thank you.
Long Comment warning: I tend to break jungle into several (6) jobs. 1. Farming camps 2. Ganking 3. Counter Jungling 4. Helping lane state which may be pushing, taking plates or resetting minion waves while sponging xp / taxing 5. Neutrals (Drake, Rift, Voids) 6. Split pushing Any time I struggle with one or two I do the others. It is good to see the map in the classic 4 quadrants and 4th slices. (just like you explain 1 2 3's) The quadrants are the 4 red blue sections of camps. And the slices are the 1/4 to your base edge, the next 4th to river, the 4th past river and then the last 4th their base. I also think a lot about out to in. If I think enemy jungle my steal stuff I kill my stuff closes to river. They are less and less likely to go deeper for my stuff. With the exception of krugs maybe. If you can imagine this try and keep that line on their side. Keep it there. Play with that imaginary line always. the big picture skirmish. If you can help by ganking, do that. Farming? do that. Pushing a lane? Do that. Always try and push lanes out to river. One willa rgue 'Thats not your job' but you are the wild card, the extra hand. You can still play the old school ultimate teem utility. Lately I have felt Shaco falls behind some especially AP, but I have been playing TP and even demolish rune with a sheen item, like Lichbane and / or other wisp items. It makes it HELL for the enemy team. With clones and a few pink wards to TP to, I neve rhave to REALLY back and I can pressure a lane relentlessly. I can port in or push or pressure with clones. Its very annoying. In the VERY least it forces people to me. Sometimes 2 or even 3. It is incredibly effective. Shaco does not need flash. I find TP is great. I can be pushing top and mid or bot lane might think 'ok im safe' and I can port right to them for a play. I can make very easy cross map plays and decisions. My strength is in objectives and maps / macro. my stats show im so so at other crap but my macro and map control is like around diamond. Like even compared to higher players. Sometimes its up near challenger. I am not the best micro but I notice almost everything maco. I also do not fight unless we can get something from it or its for an objective, especially from behind. If we cant fight them I just call for cross map play. They want to drake 3 and we cant fight? Great, we baron 100% free. CROSS MAP PLAYS people. Now good luck getting others on board. I feel some jungles have amuch easier time getting a team on board. Shaco its very hard. Amumu? easy... Vi even easy.. A side note in 14.19 they plan to buff stuff like Lichbane to 110 ap and as a split push AP item on shaco its going to be a nightmare.
just one point here in the mentality section, I agree that gold value in jungle is by far more superior than sitting in a brush but, catching a wave to freeze or hold or burning a flash does have alot of value for laners, especially burning flash, because you just regank on next rotation or dive them and the entire lane is fucked if they dont have teleport
ganking to get a flash is fine if there is literally nothing else to do - you might have full cleared and there are no camps to farm so why not go for a gank even if it doesn't result in a kill...but to gank 'for a flash' when you could just get 120g from a camp is never worth
Here is the thing that I'm struggling to understand. How do you prioritize whether to attack the enemy's gold camps vs taking a drake that you know you can take? I understand that drake in the short term is not granting as much gold and is not taking away a comfortable camp from the enemies, but it gives you a long term gain (or rather potential, since a singular buff may not mean as much). I have no way of measuring or quantifying what is better or worse in terms of camps, river monsters and kills, which gives you more.
Can I get a clip of that "why do we gank? To make out Langer's feel better- no no no no: to get a kill" so I can post it in the pregame lobby every game 😂
This is super good, only issue is that its too much to think of and implement in the game and thats why theres so much of a skill diff between a diamond player and a challenger player i guess.
I recommend changing your f keys to c x v and a mouse button, it makes f key cycling so much easier and will leave you able to get to your ability keys easier if you are jumped on while f key cycling
I recently started playing league. Jungle Role specifically. After 17 Games I'm GOLD 4 now.... and will probably going to drop back to silver. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I do gank, we get kills, we even get fed but we still lose. Especially in mid game. Players just dont do anything with the kills I provide them, they dont push turrets. So I ask what I suposed to do as a jungler ? I clear the camps, I do a gank ? should I stay in lane and push towers while my team mates recalling ? Also I play tanky champs that relies on team mates to make it effective. Maybe thats my problem.
they lose tempo on their krugs if they started at red buff, and it’s hard to invade and wait for krugs if you’re accepting raptors are getting taken so i wouldnt care about taking enemy raps at 4:00
yeh, if you have ganked and killed ofc you can shove a wave early game, but you dont go to a lane because a laner pings you to help unfreeze or some bs
good question bro and tbh i probably should have made a point in the course about this…there are times when you dont have to do a 1/2 first (in other words you can do a 3 first and not last) - and this will be when you know FOR A FACT THAT NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS you will always get that 1/2 (in other words, i can farm my 3s because that 1/2 is still attainable)
Great job here! im a Emerald top laner. who maybe gonna swicht to jgl. and i paid 2 times for coaching. and i learn alot more about jgl tracking from you than them. and this was free. thank y
@@Eagzv9 I used Tapin. where you get random coaches. maybe i was unlucky but they didnt do much. the one guy want to sale me a lesson for 100 dollars(where he would go more in depth) maybe im stupid but i dont see the idea i pay 5-10 dollars for a coach. for the coach to tell me he will go in depth if i just paid 100 bucks more. I will only recomment Tapin if you are on some 10 games losing streak.

Could you re-emphasize on why to go for 1s in the 1s/2s/3s concept? I'm a 200LP (euw) full clear jungler, whose idea to win has been to level up my own camps more efficiently than my opponent. (This results on me getting a small lead almost every game, but I almost never get big leads in a game = probably a mistake) My mentality has been, that if I take 1s, I would cycle the camps for the enemy, where he gets higher level camps, while my camps are not leveling up. Can you help me out of this mentality?
I really want to improve at the game, but now I'll try to use these fundamentals to get better, even if I start rough now I know when to invade jungle without dying! Thanks for these free guides since it helps us low elo a lot, hope I can reach gold with these tips
since i started to play for camps and objectives and only react to the other jg movements. like you or jerryjg say, not only i improved my games but how much i enjoy them. its another game when you are not schizo trying to satisfy 4 randoms on a map who lose lane even if you gank them. thank you a lot
Thanks for the vid! Never thought about how important it was to operate so efficiently. Feels like I've just been lolligagging in the jungle now that I see this.
i think its important to talk about "time to travel" in guides i duo que and am almost emerald with a 80% WR and i constantly have to tell my friend i wont make it by the time the play is over
I got kinda confused at the first jungle clear place, so like when you go top side you start wolves gromp blue and clear entire red side? It got kinda complicated, so like you full clear unless there is a gank, and if i gank lv2 it should be a 100%kill and if not its not worth?
Main takeaways for me: 1. Prioritize 1s over 2s and 2s over 3s. If there is an opportunity to gank and kill enemy OR take their quadrant, either of these should be PRIORITIZED before an objective like dragon, for example. 2. Regarding early clears, clearing out 1 quadrant and then recalling can be good if: a) you are against a scary lvl 3 jungler and want to recover ur HP and get a long sword and b) if its not obvious which jg wins the 1v1 and want to get an item advantage before u meet them 3. Pathing to top is good when botlane is scaling and no kill pressure / setup cc and top is a snowbally bruiser with ignite or ghost. If top is a TP tank and bot is scaling, pathing bot is still better. In the case that top and bot are both snowbally, pathing to either lane is okay. 4. Tempo = recalling to defend or take a resource ie objective. This is the main reason to recall. Recall after bot gank to defend top camps; recall after top gank for a teamfight near spawning dragon. 5. Important timers to note - 4:15 is 2nd camp spawning (in case buff was first camp) and 5:45 is the 3rd camp. In the case of non-buff first camp, 4:00 is first. 6 minutes is first buff taken respawning.
Very interesting information. I'm going to try my best to utilize the information given here in my next games. All of it at once may be difficult so I think I'll begin with trying to master attacking/defending my camps and the enemies camps.
What do you think about using 3rd party apps such as blitz? A lot of this video is how to use all of the ingame information in order to track the enemy jungler, but do you think things like blitz's gold trackers and camp timers are just crutches for the skills you're talking about, or are they fine to use?
For the Dante’s clip he had already put a second point into q before he got to raptors and before they started the dive bot did you mean that he needed to be looking for that dive before he put second point into q after finishing wolves ?
too much to think about since im bronze im gonna focus on more simple things like cs and only gank if possible and try to counter jungle when i remember
