I'm still using my stack on cannon. I don't think a Challenger player understands how often ADCs go -1 and lose out on 60-75g. In fact, that might be the only cannon they get the entire game 😂
Thank you for this amazing guide! Especially the void rotation and answer to enemy rotation, aswell as the "enemy vision perspective" helped alot. Greetings from a D1 Janna main. :)
by far the best channel for support knowledge, I peaked master 600 lp last season and this one I just hit masters again, I was trash talked a ton and was struggling to figure ways to do better, your channel helped a lot to review my own gameplay and apply some concepts on myself, I appreciate it a ton!
Absolute banger of a video. Might I suggest placing the clickable thumbnails _not_ on the left side of the screen during the last part of the video during a nugget of wisdom? This only matters because you dropped some super useful advice about precise warding in bushes for better vision, and it went by so fast I tried to rewind on mobile by tapping and started another video accidentally 😅 kind of a mobile only problem since the draggable bar is tiny and fingers are large. Hopefully YT improves the [drag finger for ff/rewind] functionality. Looking forward to more great content!
I just discovered this video and felt like its gonna be some useless general tips. But as a diamond support I found a lot of informations very useful. Thank you :)
I also roam on grubs if i know its going to be a 1vs1 of junglers. Then we can kill jungle, take grubs and get his top side jg too. But you need jg pathing experience to notice that specific scenario
ADC being so weak right now has completely changed the role. I feel more like a second jungle most games, and have to play like one to win. Can't reliably get your ADC far enough ahead to take over a game when they get one shot by AP supports with one item, and don't stand a chance against any top/mid/jung with any sort of lead or proper itemization. Even most tank supports seem to outscale ADC's. On top of that I play a lot of engage heavy supports that historically could take over games with a lead generated early. It's frustrating that most of the meta "ADC" picks are scaling AP champs (Smolder, Seraphine, etc) because it has made most of my picks and play styles irrelevant in lane.
What do you mean? You act like adcs are completely useless. Yet if no one focuses the enemy adc, they can still wipe your whole team if they got a lead. Also, if your adc is ahead and you roam he will still beat the enemy adc and create pressure. You play engage supps. So you can still get your adc a lead and roam. The enemy adc will need help which creates numbers advantages elsewhere on the map if you move and the enemy supp doesn't.
The fella who replied to you, is actually speaking facts. If you in theory are getting you’re adc even a 300-400g lead. If you utilize roam timers properly, in theory you should never lose the first 20 minutes of the game. Ofc there are exceptions and variables its league, every game is different but i play rakan get my adc 1-2 kills, or zone enemy adc from exp/gold then once i hit 6 i perma leave lane and give us numbers advantage. If enemy support matches its turbo good for MY adc considering theyre anywhere from 300-900g ahead from the advantages ive created thus being able to easily 1v1 enemy adc if played correctly. BUT you are right in saying that support role feels like a secondary jungle role because IT IS, our job as supports is to provide good vision, engage WINNING fights and to protect our carries. Now jungle doesnt always want to do these exact things but these are just merely examples
@friedchicken8440 Lol, I have to agree. Picked up the support role as my main, and only felt at home with my secondary being jungle later. We definitely like having the agency.
Most times I've left my adc with a juicy lead in lane and told them to "CARE" while I help the team and they end up dying even while playing some of the safest adcs, so now I never feel good about roaming
Wowie! Thank you for explaining the support item mechanic, they really made the supp items more complex than what it was before all the changes 😮. Also the editing is soooooo clean 🥳 :Shodesupop:
Question, these tips and tricks help if you're already in a higher elo, like if you're a Diamond trying to get to Master, or a Master trying to break through to Grandmaster, but will they help if you're in the low elo?
Generaly yes. But, your teammates will be a lot less reliable. For example, you leave botlane to roam mid at an otherwise good time, but your adc still dies because he does not know how to play around a bouncing wave. To counteract your teamates lack of awareness and knowledge it often helps to ping and write them all your intentions. Coming back to our example of roaming, you could ping that you roam mid and ping your adc to stay around your tower
Hello, I'm a Pyke main I just wanted to ask you guys what to do when I'm losing the lane and my adc just starts flaming me for most of the times no reason , I often try to roam and give up on my adc because we can't get together and honestly that strategy only works 50% of the time and we eventually end up losing the game because noone won his lane in our team.
This is a pretty nice guide but I think you also should have talked about edge cases where some supports dont buy the support item immediately and get it on the first base instead
Every time I don't rotate to grubs, the enemy support roams instead, and my team ints a triple kill. Meanwhile, we just get some cs bot. And that dive to "punish" Ezreal only worked because Fiddle helped you and your adc... Right?
a major issue with rotating to grubs is that my junglers almost never prioritize capturing them when they spawn. they would much rather gank, farm, do literally anything else it seems. ive rotated before they spawn, help mid/top get lane prio and while i wait mid/top for my jungler, they never seem to come. then im the one flamed even though i set up lanes and its my jungler who doesnt understand objective spawn times. its literally right there if u look at the minimap. i dont really get why its so looked down upon for supports to spend more time mid than bot. bot lane can get solo exp so why do mid laners always cry about sharing exp? if im bot with my partner, u dont hear me crying about having to share exp with them lol. i would love to get solo exp. besdies, if im mid, then that means the bot laner is getting solo exp. so it evens out anyways. there are also games where im support and i end up having over 100 cs because my team REFUSES to catch lanes, leaving me to farm. if i wasnt there to farm the lanes midgame, they would go to waste under a turret. yes. over 100 cs on support. its ridiculous! how do carries miss so many waves?? at this point, im not sure if i should swap to another role that can properly make use of all the farm i seem to gather? i just hate early laning phase. sooo boring. i also like the enchanter playstyle. imo an adc isnt even an enchanters best pairing. i would much prefer if i could lane with a tank or bruiser. enchanters are squishy and need a front liner to peel for them. of course come 5v5, champs like lulu and janna offer invaluable peel for ranged champs but in lane having a front liner would grant somebody like a soraka or sona much more protection from ganks/engagement. imo riot needs to add voice lines for when neutral objectives spawn. because then maybe players will learn that when they hear that voice line, they need to push, go b, tp, do whatever it is they need to do to make sure they either secure the obj or stall for a tower.
I climbed from bronze to silver after being hardstuck with only renata. She is the only enchanter that can carry. But its possible, ofc you will have some issues bc you relay on your team but janna and renata are super strong and can setup plays and are gamechanging
Grubs as an objective has very little value, but the team fights that it attracts are worth. I go when I think there is gonna be a fight. Any given point in the game is difficult to predict where the enemy jgl is going to be, but you can be sure that eventually they will go for objectives and their camps. This means warding and watching their camps and objective timers. If an objective is coming, Im there early and preparing for ambushing enemy jgler or support.
As a Support your job is very simple. You are to Support whoever is playing the Bottom position. So rather than watching a "Support Guide". Supports should be watching guides for who they are Supporting, so that they can learn to more effectively help their Bottom player.
totally wrong. u dont invest time and resources into an adc if he is not the the win condition. and more often then not the adc dont know how to autoattack propperly and even deal les dps then a ench supp. you are the TEAM supp not adc supp
