Another one of my favorites. I always can't help but feel like it was largely inspired by Buster Keaton's _One Week_ from 1920, which is one of my favorites of his short films. It seems to borrow pretty heavily from it as far as a newlywed couple getting a kit house gifted to them and slapstick ensues when they start trying to put it together.
If you Google map 4437 Clybourn you can still see the house they ride by and its now grey. The 3 triangles above the window are there with an alarm box underneath. The fence Moe is riding by is now a long bush. Thanks for the journey!
This without question is one of the funniest episodes of them all...and that's saying something What they put their poor wives through! And the wives themselves were almost just as bad as the boys were. A total classic!!!
Lol poor Curly, The one time they don`t run through the wet cement and mess it up, he does. and what cool trivia that Ted Healy`s sister was in this! Learn something new every day
Wow ~ Marcia Healy played Florabell. I had no idea she was Ted's Sister. These videos that you have created will be watched by many Stooge fans with pride!
Seriously Jim? Why be a negative Troll when Rick is such a positive person. He simply points out who participated in some of the Stooge Shorts like Solomon Horwitz (who was the the Father of Moe, Shemp & Curly) and Ted Healy's Sister. The Stooges and production company obviously were proud of their Family & Friends to include them in production. Their Fans can now share in that pride. ~ Try not to be such a Negative Ned & Be Hopeful. :)
@@Steve17010 Maxine Gates appeared with the Stooges in three of their shorts-Goof On The Roof, Husbands Beware (both with Shemp), and Muscle Up A Little Closer with Joe Besser, and she was a rather large woman. She also appeared in the 1952 short Caught On The Bounce, also with Besser.
Really glad you were able to learn something new. I also appreciate that you are enjoying my positive message at the end. Right now the Three Stooges videos are on hiatus but I will continue them in the near future.
Enjoyed this one a lot, Rick. Where'd you get the location of the houses in the Toluca Lake area of L.A. and the Columbia Ranch locale? From a Stooges book? IMDB.COM doesn't list the locations on this short. If you're going in order of the episodes, which obviously you are, the next one up should be "Termites of 1938." Looking forward to that one.
+Michael A Williams Hey Michael! Thanks for enjoying the episode. It is pretty cool knowing the street and home addresses. For now, since I scour many forms of media for info/facts, I will not be sharing the tricks of the trade for now but rest assured I will be making the '38 episode next
