season 2 is were the show really hits its stride imo. Unlike other people i truly think until the last episode the show gets better and better and i love the characters more and more
@@BestAnimeFreak in all honesty there is a finale i’m content with. Imo he should react to the alternate ending so the show doesn’t leave him in a complete disappointment. The one that aired is just not what himym is by season 9. it’s a finale made for the s1/s2 characters
@@jinxysaberk Yeah, the alternate ending is much better. I want him to see both though ... first the "normal" one, as that's just how it goes ... and then the alternate ending, which just feels a lot better xD
@@BestAnimeFreak i do want to see his reaction to the finale. I think it will be less negative as i think people are overly harsh on the quality due to the last 2 minutes. -----______-----______-----______-----______-----______-----______ spoiler i actually think flashing forward as the characters get older and time catches up to the present was a genius idea. It was more just the Barney and Robin and last 2 minutes that i think people just hate
My mother has watched both shows and I asked her which was the worst ending for her. She said HIMYM because there's more seasons and you really connect with the characters. But I can't wait to see what you think personally! Enjoying this new journey you're taking!
Even if it may not seem like it, when it comes to Barney there really is a method to his madness, and deep down he really does care about his friends, even if it doesn't seem like it at first glance, you can't take everything on surface level when it comes to Barney. He might seem like someone who only cares about money, suits and woman, but we already know this isn't true, even if he's not yet ready to admit that to himself yet. Even if it may not seem like it all the time, I personally believe that Barney has one of the best character developments or growth in the entire show. This show is so amazing and keeps getting better and better until it's final two episodes, which is a real shame because I love seeing the characters grow and develop and I'm excited to see your reactions to these characters as we get into more episodes and seasons.
Can’t wait till you finish the whole series. Then I can binge watch your reactions. It’s hard to watch only one season and then have to wait for the next episodes lol I’m too impatient 😂 So I’ll wait till the end to watch your reactions as I enjoyed binge watching tbbt with you.
I was excited then went to the patreon, and its been (coming up on) 2 months since anything himym related, before that another 3-4 months, you are looking at years before the full show is on here, and probably years before its even on patreon unfortunately.
OK season 2 of HIMYM and we are off with a great start I practically love how with each episode, there is a life lesson involved with Marshall, everybody deals with breakups differently not just a matter if you're a guy or a girl But the one thing you always have to remind yourself, that you are a great person whether in a relationship or single I too am against guns, they are dangerous and studies show, when you own one in the house, you are more likely to shoot a family member than an intruder The last episode though was by far my favourite love how the episode was 3 fold with each of the characters, really hilarious Love these reactions Cody
39:00 Some people might think Ted's parents not telling him is unrealistic (myself included) but then my parents told me they'd been seeing other people for about half a year and they'd been unhappy for 2 years. It's hella messed up imo
Adults really don't owe other adults information about their relationships. Ted made the choice over and over to have no real relationship with his parents. Not being kept in the loop is a natural consequence. Relationships are a two way road, their marriage wasn't a baseball discussion, so why would ted ever realistically expect to hear anything about it? How often did you inquire as to how their relationship was? How many people do you volunteer the details of your private life too?? I know i don't call my parents anytime something changes in my relationships, they hear about it when we talk/see eachother.
@@Tronjon4278 Yeah, you make some good points so I guess in Ted's case it made sense. But for me, I was still living at home while at uni, partially because they asked me to stay and help take care of my mom with her health issues. And I did check in with them regularly cause I was kind of suspicious about how they were doing but they lied to my face. I also updated them quite a bit about my life, I was under the illusion of closeness I suppose🤷🏻♀️
@@VeeAllar738 Don't get me wrong, i'd expect my parents to tell me big stuff like that too, i think in the show it just plays a big part in showing how ted and his family are just not close at all. That's why he is so attached to his group of friends. Thankfully no direct lying to his face, but being unable to tell the truth to his face is not that much better when it comes down to it :/
So since you know about the controversial ending. Last season is still great, and if you don't like the last episode(s), there's an official alternate ending cut available on RU-vid. It's not as bad as GoT
Yeah... The Game of Thrones finale might literally be the single most criminally misunderstood ending ever (sorry, I feel this urge to protest every time I hear someone complain (which happens a LOT as we all know 😆), so much so that I'm surprised I haven't become infamous on RU-vid yet (even made 2 videos about it if you're interested...) 😄); I mean, simply not liking it is one thing, of course, it's just that the reasons (!) why so many people don't like it to me seem to be connected to a fundamental misunderstanding about just how (!) far the author would go in being basically the anti Tolkien (which, among many other things, manifests itself in many elements being kinda similar, but playing out very differently / being put in a different context; for example, Martin's story, too, features a character coming from the East intending to conquer everything, except unlike Tolkien's Sauron, said character, according to how Martin's attitude towards good and evil ("a villain is a hero of the other side") is made so relatable as welll as attractive (and I don't just mean physically, although that, too), most people didn't even notice the similarities until "the showrunners randomly decided" to make said character a villain, "ruining" said characters arc in the process 🙄). Anyway, I guess I'd have to say the HIMYM finale is more (!) problematic, actually (for reasons I can't get into without spoilers), but I didn't really mind that, either, thinking about it a bit, afterwards (and you might say now "not surprising coming from someone who defends the GoT ending". Except my reasons for that are completely different one's, as it's, obviously,a completely different type of show. Well, we'll see...)
Maybe you could do a Steven Universe reaction and have Nickflix join you. Brace yourselves though, it's an emotional rollercoaster. And maybe you can do a Halo Let's Play, I'm curious if any of it is similar to your time in the army. Or maybe watch Bluey or Chowder
The series ending is definitely a rough one to get through, but everything before that is AMAZING. Never seen GOT so maybe you’re prepared, but maaan 🤣
there is absolutely no way to deffend lily on this one. She was selfish and imature, terible thing to do considering whats gonna happen later this season. I do like lily as character she is funny, and evil but in a fun way, but i never forgived her leaving marshall and never will.
bahaha dont make me laugh she literally shattered his heart and left him to be artist, and then crawled back to him to take her back. and yes people delay weddings, but what the fuck is here to delay, when the relationship was dead after she went and left him with wedding ring. grow up, that was fucked up and if i was marshall at this time id never take her back, she decided, now take reaponsibility.
@@krolsky8831 Marshall took the ring, 'if you leave, don't come back'. That is a unilateral decision on his part to end things. If you were Marshall, you never would have been able to land any sort of decent woman in the first place, one of the most unrealistic hardest to stomach things about this show. At least you already know you will never take a chance for anything in your life, stay complacent, kid, be a Marshall.
As someone who's watched both GoT and HIMYM, I think both of those finales were equally horrible. And having gone through one doesn't exactly make going through the other easier. I'm just saying, be prepared. I thought I was, but the reality was so much worse.
Barney is not evil ok and you will see that. But I that people don't want to pay attention. When people first time seeing this show you get to know all the characters. And see Barney, because you don't see the good things that he do in till you see the hold picture. Barney is the character on that show. 👍
2nd season when writers' strike happened among many series went to hiatus, producers were worried viewers won't come back and the show got canceled, even 2nd season was not sure thing. In case got canceled. Victoria would be the mum, 2nd season potential mum would be Stella, but fortunately after the hiatus the show got average 2.5 millions more viewers than before. Mainly because of who played Abby. She wanted to be in that ten sessions episode they changed the plot because of her. Changed who played Stella, first choice worried to be in the shadow of Abby. Replacement scrubs star was perfect as Stella. ❤
I don't think HIMYM is comparable to GoT in terms of awfulness. GoT's last FOUR seasons are garbage, while HIMYM only really has a weak final season and a garbage finale.
Finale is fine storywise, just rushed and predictable. It does not legitimately ruin anything like GoT did, although that was more like the last 2-3 seasons belonging in the garbage rather than just the finale.
I'm going to be honest, I never watched GOT. Objectively, I think it's great, but it was too much for me on a personal level. When it comes to HIMYM bad series finale, yes I believe it was one of the worst. Didn't change how amazing everything else was. I'm sure a lot of people think similarly about GOT. Or maybe not, like I said, could never get into it, I can get squeamish with violence. Also, keep Barney in the second episode in mind as this season goes forward. It has an unexpected payoff.
