Clean hook on Zac. After countless Darius games he is a really satisfying champ to play and punishes mistakes like no other, but at the same time if the enemy plays well you are limited in what you can actually do. Especially if they draft certain team comps, sometimes you just have to wait for summs to actually be a threat and even then you can just get bursted before you can get your damage off.
Why does it seem like a lot of Darius's matchups are like "if they play perfect, you can't play the lane." What does this mean? It sounds it doesn't matter how good you are at Darius because you're at mercy of how well the opponent plays againt him.
Yeah a lot of champs have tools in their kit to at least FUNCTION even if they are dominated in lane. As Darius though, if ur in a bad matchup there is nothing you can do by yourself.
I'm by no means an expert since I only really play quick play lol, but I'm assuming a big part of Darius's struggle is lack of sustain in a lane if his laner can reliably farm, poke, and heal. At least, that's what I've noticed when facing opponents particularly Gragas.
@@albinotadpole6640Darius is one of the stat check bruisers like Garen or Sett. Aka, you can either deal with their bs in lane, or you fall behind because a lot of their power in lane bullying tends to favor the oppressive side. The downside is, like those champions, they're reliant on doing well in lane to contribute anything because they need actual items to function. A Ksante or an Ornn or a Malphite who fall behind still have big utility and just build tanky and still do damage while being bulky. On the opposite, a Garen or Darius who falls behind can't build tanky because then they'd still be too squishy to frontline, and too weak to be threatening. And then you have the other key issue with champs like Darius and Sett. They're great when they're ahead, but if they fall behind, they can get omega kited and die because their power is frontloaded to their lane bullying potential ( which forces players to stay in lane, and risk getting hooked or hit ) and not in their team fighting or ability to stick to enemies. Basically - Darius is a decent champ - but if you're one tricking him, it's easy to counter pick him because you can play safe, outscale him, and team fight, or you pick a ranged bully that Darius can't handle, and abuse him because he can't chase you if you play properly.
