The Void has always been my favorite thematic in League of legends, and the fact that they are expanding on it AND making them freakier/cosmic horror is just everything that I've ever wanted in life. Thank you, Riot.
It hyped me even more than the opening ceremony ! I just thought that they could make an evolution of the Rift based on the live evolution of lore. That could be awesome !
@@sohtnax7809I don't think its an indirect buff. If you think about it then every champ that has aoe cc has been indirectly buffed too if you know how to use the new choke points properly. It's the same as the champs you've said if they adapt their play style to the new wall placement too.
0:18 The update to Baron aligns with the void’s lore. Just as the void corrupts reality when it touches it, reality also corrupts the void. That’s why it has features from our world like hands and shark heads.
This looks so cool, haven’t played league in over a year for personal reasons but I hope this means that the lore is gonna push the void storylines further.
Funny how almost nothing happened for the past 3 years and as soon as I quit the game, major events start coming out (I quit a month before arena’s release)

i love this changes ! and i hope maybe in the future we will get anothere theme season ( now its gonna be void OFC ) so maybe Zaun or Shadow Isles could be good too
This is actually game changing. I've played since season 1 and this is the biggest update I've seen, other than the visual overhaul. Map terrain and all the camps and new void monsters is insane, and mythic removal on top of all that
from what they show it isn't gonna be good your botlane is gonna get perma ganked from that one gap and you're gonna be perma crying that junglers are too broken (not you the redditors)
With the addition of extra gank paths i assume all the champs that want to stay safe and farm will be worse. But it may also make low mobility junglers better.
This is really interesting to say the least. I like the way they changed the map around top and bot to make it fairer for both sides but I don't know about the mid lane yet. I'm excited to say the least. Still need to finish this season's grind tho.
This is would be the Void year. Song of Nunu kinda teased, that lore wise, Void is getting stronger and they going back, Lissandra can't hold them any longer.
it's been a long time since large changes to the map have been made, this' exciting and I'm curious on the changes in jungle and how it will change jungles power and importance.
I think that the Kindred mark at the end of the video has implies to how spirits like Kindred, the Fading Icon, and the Astral Fox see the void. I hope this heralds more lore for champs like Karthus, Kindred, Kog'maw, Kha'zix and Cho'gath.
I hope they have some form of event or add a void dragon soul that you can get to make those changes on the map happen like when you get the mountain soul. And have it where depending on how many void dragons you have out of 4 will determine how corrupted the map and monsters will get...
Now they have their proper void designs. True void designs like on Legends of Runeterra artwork are eldritch-esque so it makes sense to amplify their design to be alot more unfathomable
Finally , some solid content about 2024 , i will still miss old herald and nashor , but im excited about the other changes . We’ll see how it goes i guess . Also …. W H E R E S C O R P I O N
Not just visual update, i think the herald got a reworked too. 0:13 was wondering where the renekton came from but he popped out after the herald charge along with the small critters
Maybe Im wrong but it looks like they are trying to make Red side (aka Top right spawn) not as weak and more on par with Blue side. That bot lane change for Red side looks nice.
It represents how it's actually written in the lore. The void consumes reality so it steals some parts of the world for it. The hands come from probably humans that were consumed.@@johnluin4937
Definitely excited for all the changes! Midlane might feel weird with this non linear walls and I'm a bit sceptical about this insane buff sharing change but for sure good to have some fresh stuff again👍
So their way of dealing with snowballing is by adding paths from the jungle (in fog of war) directly to the turret, "farm under tower it's safe" they said
Surprised at how much risk they are taking considering map changes can be some of the most interesting but also dangerous but I'm glad they are at least willing to try it.
The update looks really good but I gotta say, that top wall change will most likely only be hurting red side. It gives a lot of advantage to being a blue side, as red side will have to commit more just to ward that bush by blue side.
looks amazing! Considering all the hands around the 'baron' and the animation around the season logo I wonder if the new baron is influenced by that 7 handed demon and the new champ.
