They were replicating an older uniform. They had blue in it (for whatever reason). My theory is wherever the older uniform came from the didn’t have the choice to change the blue.
This is similar in line with how AAMU uses gold as an accent color, or Jackson State or Tennessee State uses red as an accent color. They aren't school colors but are used sometimes to give a little extra pop to a uniform😊
Clearly said it was a throwback that NOONE on the present team had ever worn before,so even tho it’s very old it’s new to them and you normally wear uniforms you never wore on homecoming
Red team is Varsity squad and cheers at football and men's basketball games, and White team is Junior Varsity squad, they cheer at women's basketball games and homecoming. Also both squads cheer on occasion for different events.😊
