The 'Standford Robotics' deer-bot bit was hysterical. I remember right before this season came out, videos from Boston Dynamics of their robots not being able to get knocked down were going viral and being memed everywhere. It was a masterstroke for the writers to get such a funny nod to that in the show whilst it was current.
The unexpected part for me was when Erlich told Richard that it was gonna take a long long time to recover his trust and after 5 seconds they were partying again...

The funny thing is almost every desperate, ill-conceived action Pied Piper takes is mostly because Laurie Bream screws them over, but Laurie screws them over mostly because they're prone to make desperate, ill-conceived measures.
