As a child who loses a parent while the other is alive, that person who steps in during the time of mourning to stand beside the remaining parent thereby easing the pressure of the child who also mourns wouldn’t understand how invaluable their presence is not only to the spouse...but to the child trying to navigate this new road. I am an ardent veiewer of most of your episodes but not a regular commenter. Sim, you are a real Godsent. The impact that you have made on so many of us across the globe is unmatched. I believe it takes God's divine intervention to bring to your show the most suitable persons whose circumstances are so relatable. Simone you are doing such remarkable work, you can never imagine how many persons have experienced changes in their lives and will never go back to where they have been before #simsoulsessions. May God continue to undergird you with his strength as you continue to change lives one session at a time. I think I have commented for all seven seasons.😊 Can't wait for Season Eight!!!

I have recently lost my husband and I am experiencing all the things your father expressed. Especially the feeling guilty part. I feel guilty if I laugh. If I seem to be enjoying myself then I feel guilty. It is a hard road and indeed time has stood still for me too. God bless

Hello Simone its been such a honor watching your RU-vid. After seeing Etanas talk about her Journey, and watching your Dad.. first of all Condolences to your Dad and you. I lost my Husband of 38 yrs and my Mother in 2022 while I was in the hospital recovering from a brain Biopsy. 😢 I still don't know how I'm coping, but thank God for family and good friends. You went through loss of those important to you and your daughter, and 'auto pilot'has kicked in for a term in your life. This was thoughtful as always. I tried to get through it without tears. But Mr. Dad guy just could not make that possible. This is the first year of your show that I have been privileged to see. It makes me incredibly proud to be Jamaican when I see all of you. For years, being Jamaican was a curse to hide away from the American culture we lived in. I continued to be Jamaican 😂. But it is you and all of Smile Jamaica, the artists, and government officials (ya'll cuss like dogs), that make me proud to be who I always was and always will be. We have struggles like all other countries. But never forget: out of many--one! Your one little light makes me laugh so hard. Nev and you together sometimes makes me almost stop breathing because you are both so silly. 😂 I am grateful to see adults showing kids that life is worth fighting for. And so are we.
