Jack, the most important thing is that you remain happy! Yes the voice changes with age and even though the range has gone down some, the quality is still great. Write songs that fit you now, and put your heart and soul into new creations . I have faith you will remain a great, great singer. You were made for that purpose. Always remember who gave you your gift! Still a great fan!

Hi Jack, I am an American and discovered you about 4 months after you won 2011 Australia's Got Talent and have been following you ever since. I understand why you feel you need to take a break, and am glad you are furthering your education. After watching videos about you and videos of you performing the last couple of days I think it's obvious that you were very well raised and also have a great heart. God speaks to you through your heart as I think you know. Keep it going brother and live for God and love others as it appears you do; so refreshing to see a young man of your talent live this way.

I'm glad he didn't get taken in by all the glitz and glamor of fame. It only last for a short time. But can make a lasting impression on himself and others around you with what you do with it. How wonderful to see that he has become a well-rounded, contributing, decent human being. But we still want to hear his music. He became famous as a kid because we just loved to listen to him. I wish he would do more.

I love that fame did not take away the core person you are Jack. I am an LPN specialized in geriatric care revolving around Dementia and love my profession. I miss your music and hope that someday you come back to that because the passion and soul behind it touched me. Music is such therapy

Recently I've gotten to see more videos of Jack and hear a bit of his story. He really does seem like a nice young man I hope that he continues to find what he wants to do. He has a powerful voice and love listening to him. I'm sure everyone says don't listen to what people say or post and all but we're all human. I'm sure the things people say get to him and hurt .. sadly people will ALWAYS say things and try to tear people down. You're very talented Jack. And inspiring! Jack - I still wish you would share your talent with the rest of the world. You can dictate on how "big" you get. Even if you did acoustic videos for youtube, your fans would love that! I know I would. I understand why you walked away from the spotlight and don't blame you for that at all. You have to be happy!! But I still love your voice and want to hear you sing! Thanks for this video Jack. I've been following you since your audition first appeared on RU-vid over here in Ireland and I was thrilled that you won. Recently it has been so encouraging to see you lead worship in so many places. Your rendition of '10,000 Reasons' is just fabulous. It would be great to see you with a music ministry like Don Moen or Chris Tomlin or Darlene Zscheck. Darlene is an Aussie like yourself and is based in Hillsong church in Sydney. You have a heart for music, Jack, and the world will be a sadder place if you don't use your talent in the music industry. I think you also have a heart for worship and praise looks good on you and remember God delights in the praises of His people (Psalm 22, v3) Be led by the Holy Spirit, Jack, He will tell you the road God wants you to travel. I would love to see you make a worship cd & dvd with, say, 20 good tracks in it and perhaps a mixture of the old and the new. I look forward to hearing your music again soon, whatever you produce, and please make it available to buy in Britain and Ireland. JacK, whatever you do, never ever stop singing. When the world lost Whitney Houston, I did not think we would ever get to hear a voice that again. Then along comes Jack Vidgen. Thank you Jack. You have a voice that sounds like an angel. You are the the worlds gift. I love you.

I admire at a young age you had the courage to step back and regroup. But you are so talented never give up on your music. I have listen to your honest statements on WHY you left for 5 years and your parents gave you skills to realize you needed to step back. Like millions of others I loved your first audition on Australia's got talent and seeing glimpses of your success after the show. Iv'e got to say though seeing you now and your attitude is as impressive. You have proved you can sing and are talented and can feel secure about that. Hi Jack, I don’t know why it’s showing a photo of me at 20 when I’m 65 & made sure it was changed, yet there it is. Oh well. I looked a lot like you then, lol. I discovered you here 4 years ago after you’d won the Got Talent show. I was deeply moved by your performances, your vocal quality & your amazing control. I saw myself in you. I started singing to my dad’s Ella Fitzgerald records when I was 6, she actually taught me how to sing! I learned jazz from her & other musicians on dad’s records. I started writing music when I was 10 & have been doing both all my life. I played piano, clarinet & guitar by ear. During my 20s-mid-30s I worked professionally in San Diego & L.A. as a singer, model, actor in all sorts of things, & even had a singing commercial air during Super Bowl half-time. Life took its turns & deviations & now I’ve returned to my music. My voice is better than ever, my range is wider, control sharpened & honed, as I continually study, practice & learn by singing with other artists to train my voice in new ways. I’m mainly a jazz singer but love singing R&B, blues, & country too, as long as the melody & lyric pull me in. It’s all about the melody & the lyric for me. You’ve inspired me Jack in ways you could never imagine. I look forward to your next “move”. This little video explains a lot & I totally support you as you move into your next career phase. I hope your dad is doing ok. I have a spinal cord injury that greatly affects my mobility...and was a huge struggle to play guittar again. I saw something so special when I witnessed you audition; but as good as you were, you are beyond amazing now. So much depth, insight, compassion, and maturity. You're an amazing young man....I wish you much success....in whatever form you choose.

Jack I first started watching your videos on RU-vid two nights ago I stayed up most of the evening and into the morning looking at all the videos I could find that night on RU-vid starting with your debut audition on Australia's Got Talent I followed every progression every song every note with total amazement what a fantastic singer look for me and I love Aretha Franklin it was your knockout presentation of think really nailed it you are a superb singer and a fine person thank you so much and I'm 70 years old to have known and experienced such a fine individual and so young is very enlightening and rewarding for all these years that I have lived thank you so much

You have an amazing gift from God- your voice. As long as you remember who is the giver of that gift, it will keep you humble. There are many ways to use your gift to inspire and encourage others in their walk with the Lord. Keep singing Jack. Be like Eric Liddle who was an Olympic runner. he said "When I run, I feel God"s favor. I believe your singing brings down God's favor over you as well as the world's. If you use your voice to glorify Him, you can't go wrong!

don't wait too long Jack, the truck could very well pass you by ..you can see in his eyes and in the unspoken language of his demeanor that he is frightened of becoming the victim of fame .. and possibly frightened of discovering who and what he is . Theres a conflict in him ..its almost palpable....If he loves Music enough ..he will follow that dream ..If another Love arises, oh well ..we have lost a great talent .. but as popeye used to say "I am whats I am " you gotta be YOU Jack !
