Going to have to add this to my wish list. $3,000 home repair forces me to hold off for a bit. I don't know why, but I laughed every time you kicked that box.
July 31, '24 Just got off the SC site. They don't offer the DRZ seat in the foam/cover kit. (I called just to confirm). If I have to pay the price for the full seat I'll just take my pan to a local guy to make the seat.
Finally got the seat (about 3 to 5 week delivery?), installed it and man, it feels really comfy. Gonna take it for a multi-hour ride tomorrow. Also took your advice and re--packaged the stock seat in the box....I agree that it's a great idea to keep all of the stock parts in case you sell, which i don't plan on doing, with this bike anyway. Super nice review. Hey I notice that while sitting on your bike, your feet are flush to the ground. How tall are you? I am 6'1" and on mine, with the stock seat, my heel does not touch the ground. I just got the bike so many the suspension is too stiff, but I do wonder if your concept seat is the Low option one. Great clip.
@@linksgarage1985 Ok exactly the same as me. The bike is brand new, so maybe the suspension is a bit stiffer and adjusted too hard. I will play with it a bit. Thanks! Nice box kicking by the way. Really cracked me up.
I have a 22. Just got this seat on. It’s so much better. I have a lot of the same parts it’s crazy. Haha. I’m going to do the foam thing I have the same levers also. Thanks man.
@@linksgarage1985yes sir! I know they’re 8mm but trying to find the right ones. Bought my DRZ with a rack in it and removed it today. Also was there a nut on the back side or threaded in only?
Hey Link, thanks for the vid. I just ordered the identical specs from SC for my DRZ-SM. Any feedback on the grippy-ness of that cover material? Just wondering if the friction is too high when shifting weight forward/aft when riding. Asking as I probably have time to re-adjust my order. Best, D
Thanks for the video - you've convinced me to get one for my new drz, but there are multiple models - I would prefer the one that's most like the stock seat in terms of height. Did you get the low, tall, commuter? Thanks
@@rb7994 By looking at their site it appears to be the comfort seat that he bought. The comfort XL is wider than what he has and the commuter is totally different looking. Also definitely the comfort low or comfort tall. Hope this helps.
