Great review! I did my CBT a few years back, passed my theory too. Then covid hit and my 2 years were up before I could book a test. Need to get back on it (not saying I'd get an eScooter, but I like the idea of an electric bike).

I've had this bike now for several months and just done an experiment regarding how much it's costing me to charge it up, it is costing me per day around £6.30 to charge up in the UK currently, so it's no ware near as cheap to run as people claim, as soon as it's paid off, I will be selling it

That's interesting. And that's charging at home? It would be interesting to see how your home electric tariff affects that

@@GadgetsBoy your not wrong, I believe the price of electricity is going up in April so I will see what the deference is when it goes up

The battery is 5.6kwh. Unit rate for most homes right now is fixed at 32p/kwh . So a complete full charge 0-100% is under £2. So I'm not sure how it's costing you £6.30 ?

If you have a type 2 converter and are charging from the most expensive public charge sockets with a connection fee, maybe, but as Matthew has said, domestic electricity does not cost nearly that much. I've got mine on a timer to come on at 30 minutes after midnight, on Economy 7 a full charge from 20% to full at 28p per unit is about £1.25. But usually I can charge up at work at no cost to me, so don't get down to 20%, and my usual daily road fuel cost is under £1, or up to £200 per year for the number of days I go in to work plus leisure use. Which is considerably cheaper than the £4,500 rail annual season ticket I used to pay for. With that saving, for me this bike has paid for itself in about 18 months, including purchase cost, accessories, insurance, servicing, training and tests (CBT then A1), and protective and thermal clothing.
