In this video we show our latest design that attempts to make it easier to reach the seatbelt in your Land Rover Defender 90. This is available on our website :- www.powerfuluk...
How about a better clip for the 3rd row seat belts in a Disco 5? The standard ones are completely hopeless and just don't keep the belts out of the way. 🤞
It is a problem and when you release it snaps back and scratches the plastic pillar covers. Not sure I’m a fan of your solution but it’s a good start. I’d rather have something up high.
We started high but just could not work it out. I have the feeling the current solution may not be the best but it’s the best we can come up with at the moment… feel free to test your idea and we will make it…
I dont 100% understand the concept but i see where you are going. Would this require you to hook it back up... our solution does not require any special actions.. but i can see you option may be cheaper to make and possibly more accessible ?
@@L663Yes, it would require hooking back on. More simply, the 3D printed plate could have a square peg so that the seat belt buckle can hook on to it (when not in use). So, when in use, the belt can be unhooked from seating position. This means that the belt is not attached to anything while in use. Essentially, the belt can operate as normal but just needs hooking back on when exiting the vehicle. Your original idea is brilliant but this is just an idea. I struggle for my seatbelt but I don’t currently own a Land Rover 🙈😂
Nice little product, just received mine today. Unobtrusive, functional bit. Does the job, as my driver side belt always got too far tucked behind the seat . Now problem solved. Thanks...
Simon…no idea on his you could do it but the Mercedes SEC 560 used to have an extending arm that presented the belt to you after you closed the door….cost would kill the idea for you but otherwise some sort of pull strap that snap fits around the belt at a fully adjustable height..think a snap together sliding fit clip on the belt with a simple loop to grab hanging lower down by your side…no electrical engineering and should be cheap?? Over to you and Destiny!! 😀😀😀Richard.
Seems a good option, will it cause an issue in an accident and the tension thingy goes off. Thinking about it it is in line with the normal position so the forces should be the same. I think I might have answered my own question when typing 😀 Perfect desk top mechanic as our German friends might say 😀
Hi Robert - this is something we were concerned about but the forces are indeed in the same line - its just a guide so I do not foresee an issue. The rear seatbelts have a similar guide to keep the seatbelt inline when you fold the seats. Got to love the desktop mechanics !
Clearly Simon you’re trying to solve toooooo many first world problems!!!! Society needs to grow some balls and stop being so bloody woke!!!! Regards Ian 👨🎤🇳🇿😎🍸🍸 But you could copy the original Range Rover and put the bloody seatbelts into the seat!!!! Progress ain’t always positive!!!
Thank you for this video! I’ve already ordered a couple of items from yourself. Keen camper in my defender 90 and have been to Salisbury plaines this weekend. Do you have any videos on how to remove the inner plastic for the alpine side windows - I’m looking to add 4 additional hooks to hold clothing. I have the commercial so very spacious and looking for practicality in hanging clothes
Great idea and yes, I’m a guy in my 50’s in need of one of those! Some old US cars had an arm that would deploy out so you could easily reach. Going back to the 70’s/80’s😆
Yes it’s a problem for me with my bad neck , but worse still it takes my mother with her new shoulder forever to put her belt on . Meanwhile the bongs drive me crazy 😝 At 58 quid a pair they better work like magic 😮
I hear you on the price ... we have them printed on a high quality printer externally - they are higher grade than our inhouse parts. If they do not work then you can send back for a refund. I will talk to the boss about a discount code for when we do product launch videos - early adopters can get a better price.
I know you shouldn't but can one day you do an oil change for us using the oil drain plug if it has one..i seen lots of videos of people sucking the oil out..no good for me that method..love all the bids im learning so much about my defender by Watching your vids
@L663 I have a d250 diesel so just wondering if it had a drain plug or need to suck it out..I dont like the 2 year service interval so intended changing my oil at 5000 intervals rather than 21000
