The Seattle trains are daily. But there's also a few trains that come off the PSAP once or twice a week 😊

Great video! If it can be placed in "layman's language" I would like a video on Distributive Power! A look inside at Waste Management (if they would allow) handling the unloading of the containers/cars would be interesting too! Thanks.

Great vid as always, but an ignoble job for a train. Didn't know Seattle dumped their garbage in Oregon. In 93 I had a sales route that included rural central Oregon. With time to kill one afternoon I drove out to Condon. Just in time to see the stacks of railroad ties from the removal of that line.

Great video all-around and very informative! Where did you park for that tunnel shot? Shoulder of I-84? I've been looking there on Google Maps for my own trip out there next summer and that's the best I can figure.

@pacificrailproductions5281 8 месяцев назад
Thanks! In addition to the shoulder is a pull out area off the road. Just dirt. It’s good enough. Hope your trip is fun!

Absolutely love the video! Keep up the great work! I am working on making a model of UP’s SEGL and GLSE. Proving very hard to find HO scale containers that look right. Do you know the lengths of the containers?
@pacificrailproductions5281
@pacificrailproductions5281 Год назад
That is great to hear! I wondered what it would take to model one of these trains too. Not sure if they’re 48’, 53’ but thinking something in that range. Once the correct length container is found it shouldn’t be hard though. Spray paint green or gray and cover the top with a tarp. A few added details and it’s done! Singles on articulated cars and doubles on single wells…voila!
@railsofwesternwashington6877
@@pacificrailproductions5281 thanks do the info! I found some 3d printed containers on eBay 9 for 25 bucks, just got some paint. Have you ever seen foreign power on the garbage route?

4:42 How come this tunnel built in 1922 is just the right height for plate H? Double stack did not exist back then.
@pacificrailproductions5281
@pacificrailproductions5281 Год назад
Might have been made for double tracks: it’s pretty wide! In any case, it was built very well

Enjoy your videos! You have a great speaking voice. Have you ever considered voice over work? My guess is you are an engineer. How often do you operate the same locomotives? And do you have a favorite locomotive? With all the foreign power, do railroads have proprietary software? If so, how do they implement that in foreign power? Keep up the great work!!
@pacificrailproductions5281

Thanks a lot! I just do this for fun, but am glad you enjoy the videos! What do you mean by proprietary software? Not sure!
@tomv99
@tomv99 Год назад
@@pacificrailproductions5281 I'm was just wondering if the UP uses different software to run their locomotives or handle communications, than say CP? Or BNSF? Or are all railroads using the same stuff? Just watched your newest production. Great Content!! Look forward to more!

Can you explain why trash is transported by rail I never seen trash rail cars in California
@pacificrailproductions5281
@pacificrailproductions5281 3 месяца назад
It’s the only reasonable way to transport thousands of tons of trash a long distance affordably. In the northwest, this has been a practice that works to take trash to a processing area far from the inner city.
