"Let no joyful voice be heard, let no man look to the sky for hope. Curse this day by those of us who ready to wake....... THE KRAKEN" .... Davy Jones They really need to play that clip right before the boys come out
That's got to be one of the most incredible ways to introduce a team. I had goosebumps watching on my phone, I can't even imagine what it's like in person. Well done.
Am an Islanders/Canucks fan but that is definitely IMAX/Dolby Cinema quality right there! What a pregame intro like no other! Definitely want to check out Climate Pledge Arena someday! Good luck to Kraken Nation!
Caps fan all day from the DC area,Yet I also think it's wonderful that Seattle has this team now. PS--BRING SOME OF THE '90s BACK, SEATTLE... Need a new Pearl Jam & Nirvana...and AIC and Soundgarden....
I don't watch hockey but that had me glued to the screen when I watched it, is this how introductions are gonna be from now on? As a music composer this hit ALL the right notes and was absolutely intense.
I went to the Spokane pre season game and witnessed the first ever franchise goal in the preseason. This didn't happen but it was still cool #letsgokraken
I still want Jimi Hendrix to play the National Anthem via hologram. The mascot named "Dangle" and her little son "Greasy" who's always into mischief. I can appreciate the hard work. But a reference to KING 5 news??? Seriously? A deadliest catch intro??? A few references of Washington towns and such??? I don't know man. I am trying to see how it gets me pumped for a hockey game. I feel like it's B roll that anyone would come up with. I feel like a scene of a boat in rough water and a handful of Seattle references is great, but I just didn't feel it, and being a Seattleite all my life, that I feel is something. Maybe if I go to a game I'll feel differently. Problem is disabled vets don't make that kind of money. I love the Kraken. I got some Kraken gear right away and have followed them the entire time. Way before we were announced as an NHL franchise. I'd follow and read anything I could get my hands on. I got an espn subscription, only to find out the games are blacked out. And while I am at it...IT IS NOT "SEATOWN"!!! I understand all the transplants call it that. Good for them. But is it REAL Seattle??? Nopers, it's not. John Forsland especially. I am talking directly to you! Stop with the "Seatown", seriously. It's not a thing. It's "bro culture" speak and they are not Seattleites. It's a smaller segment of first and second generation transplants for outside the state. That's it. Nobody else. Certainly not actual Seattleites born and raised. I mean we got folks in their towers complaining about how the lights on the Great Wheel are always on and blocks their view at night. I swear, it was in the "Rant/Rave" paper column. To which I thought "Ummm...What view? It's night." and "Are you kidding me?" Chances are good the Wheel was there before your tower. And even if it isn't. It's nighttime. Also? We can bring the viaduct back for ya if you want something to actually complain about? It's not SEATOWN and never has been and never will no matter how hard John Forsland tries to fit in and sound hip. John, be careful of the company you keep. They may be imposters and posers.
First off, thank you for your service, sir. This great country doesn’t appreciate its veterans quite enough. Second, although the prod quality is fantastic and the end when the lights turn on is great, I gotta agree the actual content is underwhelming and basically a 4 minute stereotype movie. I thought this was to intro the mascot, and was pretty disappointed :/. I thought the old intro was fine; the songs were sweet at least. This feels like they tried for Vegas too much.
@@harrybloom331 It is a classic example of out of towners trying to do something only a true Seattleite could do well. I am a producer. I am a Valedictorian. This is NOT "Valedictorian work". It's not "Seattle" either. Thank you for the kind words. It's my honor to serve.
damn, makin too much time of this. The whole notion of these teams names being central to local area is just unreasonable. It's a name cool, everybody gets a kick out it, they still rep the great seattle area and fans are having blast.
