At 6:10 the young lady questioned everyone’s character, but I find it ironic that she’s defending a movement at CHOP that became a parody of what they were fighting against. Senseless murder, intimidation, rape, not to mention the wonton destruction of public and private property. As soon as they took over the area they set up a gestapo who intimidated and harassed anyone they felt wasn’t a loyal ally, and most ironically, they set up an armed border. The absurdity of the situation is mind boggling.

I’m not from Seattle but this situation has been a fascinating case study of the failure of progressive policies/thought/politics. It also showed that when you remove the deterrent effect of law enforcement, the vacuum that it leaves will be filled by another authoritarian force, often worse than its predecessor. I want to thank both the incompetent Mayor and the activists of CHOP for showing us what a Biden/Democrat controlled country would look like.
i know this is a year late but it actually happened to someone my cousin worked with. my cousin was lawyer and he got a call from one his clients asking if he could be sued for terminating an employee because she told him one day ago she was going to protest instead. once my cousin told him if she didnt follow the procedure for time off he was covered. fired her the next day for not filling out a time off request and giving two weeks as requested. lady walked away from an 150,000 dollar salary to protest. on top of that she tried suing him for racial discrimination. judge lit asked the boss if he had his time off procedures on him which he did. asked if she filled one out and followed them he said no. then asked her to provide one which she couldnt. judge immediately threw it out. lady called the boss for a month begging for her job back which he refused
That mayor could have ended this .. a long time ago .. and was called out on it several times, and she actively took the side of the rioters for a "summer of peace" .. yeah
As a oppressed white person I think we need more black people standing up, using their privilege to help empower the white community. For far too long have we been looked down upon and treated as less than, it is time to change that. We are a beautiful people and we are a brilliant people.

I'd guess it's because the current political beliefs and ideologies they have are heavily supported by many media outlets, politicians, political activist groups, corporations, wealthy donators, and the average everyday person. I'd also guess that because most if not all of the people at capital hill don't share the same political beliefs and ideologies, many of said supporters have no problem having double standards.
Should be a 1 year mandatory jail sentence with 2 years of probation for anyone arrested at a riot. And there should be a mandatory 6 month jail sentence with 2 years of probation for being arrested at a protest. Any further arrests at a riot/protest earn them a mandatory 5 year jail sentence. And those arrested can get 1 month taken off their sentence if they go and clean up and help restore the riot/protest areas. Also, the leaders of these "protest" (riot) groups should be arrested and put into solitary in a jail in a state as far away as possible. I am sure that a case for inciting violence/disturbing the peace and destruction of public property could be made. As for the protester's demands to defund the police, and release all protesters. Defunding the police, that will be a very long process that will take many months if not years to do. And why should we release those "protesters" who are criminals? I know why they want them released, because they want them back on the street causing trouble, inciting violence, and destroying private/public property. I say let them sit in jail for the next year or more. Maybe eventually the government will grow a pair and make laws for protesting, lay out what can and can't be done at a protest. The protest can only occupy an area of a certain size, will have a maximum # of participants based on the available # of police in the area, and everyone involved in the protest must register and get a permit and photo ID in order to protest. This way the violent ones can be banned from going. The protest area will have barriers to define the area and an entrance/exit that everyone must go through.
