That’s the difference between CC and a majority of the WNBA players. If the question were posed to CC, she would have nothing to say but nice things. Far cry from her counterparts on the other team. CC’s professionalism and team first attitude is what people notice. She never makes herself look conceited or makes it all about her. Rest of them should take note.
that is very true. Caitlin may not be the only one who always has positives to say about other teams and specific players but since I am new to the WNBA because of her and watching her games, I have certainly noticed how classy and respectful she appears in her post game pressers. If somebody can show me where she wasn't, I would certainly be interested. She is always happy for her teammates successes, always complimentary to the other team, she was loving watching Arike dominate in the All Star game. Her records are coming without focusing on them - imagine how difficult it is to break that assists record - your teammate still has to make the shot. And just like the scoring record in the NCAA that so many wanted to downplay, if it was so easy, why didn't any other of these ladies get it done
Caitlan has to do that to continue to disarm the haters. If she were to say her true feelings on some of this trash, she'd lose the media and the public. She's smart enough to control herself and let her game continue to do the talking.
@@claire4006 She not only had nice things to say about Angel Reese but she told a reporter that nobody should say anything bad about Reese. And this was soon after the taunting Reese gave her after winning the national championship.
@@claire4006 agreed! No one before her ever made me watch a WNBA game and I love watching her play. She’s just on another level. She should not be demonized for her God given talent, work ethic, playmaking ability and vision on the court. You either got it or you don’t. She’s got it🤷🏼♀️
This is why you will never see these players being asked to sign deals outside of the WNBA. Nobody wants this type of attitude, associated with their products. Caitlin Clark is making millions not only for herself, but for others. At the age of 22, she has a foundation, to help those in her community. She has made several appearances, while on her break. Other sports players are fanning over her, and they say only wonderful compliments about her personality. Regardless of what happens CC is a winner. #TeamCaitlinClark 😌🙏🏽❤️👩🏻🏀🌟🕊️
@@angrybeavers6695 You have to have a good agent/manager/mentor to help the player understand how beneficial it will be if you carry yourself in a professional manner
@@marisoltammero3331 I WAS ABOUT TO SAY THE SAME.!!! go back and watch that game you can see they get along Betty well and Neka was happy for some plays that CC22 Make and the rest of player to.
Well Jewell really took that Cheryl Reeve's coaching during the Olympics to heart. That's too bad. I thought she was one of the good ones. The coach and player's hissy fit at the end of the game made them look like a bunch of sore losers. 🙄🙄🙄
What they just missed was an opportunity to be gracious. They don't have to lush over Caitlin. But they missed the chance to show possible sponsors that they can be trusted to represent commercial products. Don't know a car company or a clothing company that wants to hire a sour puss to represent them . . . Come on gals . . . Smarten up and make some money ❤
Personalstash- you are obviously a CC 🍆 rider, take your head out her shorts for a minute, it was a Fever team win NOT a CC win, they don’t win without Mitchell’s 27 points or Lexie comi g off the bench to score 22, your reasoning is why some of the good players will leave the Fever once their contract is up (a la Kelsey Mitchell) they get no credit when they win but ALL the blame when they lose
Grown women acting like 12 yr old girls because they weren't ready for the way an Allstar player can lift an entire team to play way better than they normally would have. I say the Fever will make a deep run in the playoffs.
I’ll be right 100% with you I was enjoying watching all the games with my daughter, but I’ll tell you since all this jealousy and BS is going on. I don’t even watch the other games anymore. I only watch the Indiana fever. I watch CC because she’s the only humble, normal acting female in that whole league. Glory to GOD!
I love how you say “normal”. That’s is exactly how I feel. Just play ball. When I played sports, most people were better than me. I didn’t stop playing, I just trained and played harder.
@@dannybosun5158 Of course you did. I never got mad for losing to a better player; that's how you get better. It's the better player that doesn't want to play a lesser talent.
THE WNBA NEED INVESTIGATE IN OFFICIALS NOT CALLING CALLS ON CAITLIN CLARK AND THE FEVERS. WE KNEW THIS WAS COMING THE OFFICIALS WINNING THE GAME FOR THE FEVERS. SO SAD😔🙏
@@vernieistooold Man I watch the game. They where mad the refs announcers and the sports world is pushing an agenda. Fever win they can hack you bump your body all game. But the other team can't touch a Fever player.
She always has good things to say about all these players and how she is fans of them. Meanwhile on the other side, the pettiness and the unprofessionalism is crazy. Then they complain that companies aren’t endorsing them. SMH
You didn't see this coming? After game one squeak out victory at home, Lloyd was asked at on court post game a question like what does she think about the fever and this huge home Seattle crowd? Jewell rapid fire responds "it's not about them its about us". Ok I get the beginning of the season hate. I excused it because over time we see the Chicago sky and other stuff.. All star game Friday night interview ..all stars and Olympians are asked "in a two on two, which of the rookies in this class will you pick to join you?" Jewell in a split second goes "angel Reese " Not the rookie who just dropped 19 assists and would find you anywhere on the court. Not your teammate Nika Muhl, yeah..OK a girl with no passing skills and chunks the rock up...right, "black girl magic" smh The hate is real. Idk if because her state farm commercial is thr lamest. Jewell in an instance said angel Reese
Pure jealousy these women need to stop this shit. If they think this is mature, then they have another thought, they really need to take a good look at themselves in the mirror because they’re acting like children.. ( by the way, what was the two coaches having a heated discussion about mostly for the storm side)
@@progpowermetalhour does she have to? She’s left Caitlyn 40 minutes I don’t know. Does she really have to? why does she have to tend to our Bench? My reply would be, watch your own team I’ll watch mine.
Storm coach put the rest of the bench out on the floor just to give them a minute or two. Sides did not see what she did and dump her bench as well. Storm coach got pissy about it
I have never seen and I watched this team for a long time, but I wasn’t a fever fan. I was a monarchs fan. I have never seen such nitpicking and carrying on between women
And I must congratulate coach Christie, Lexi, Mitchell, Boston and Clark along with the entire Fever team and organization for such great victories from both against the Mercury and now the Storm. Great job.
The difference maker is at the beginning of the season. They were doubling cc, and her teammates couldn’t buy a bucket. Now if they double team her her teammates are knocking down shots If you don’t double team her she’ll blow by you and her chemistry with Boston is off the charts
Totally unprofessional ratchet behavior. Wow, this is exactly why people aren’t interested in “the rest of the WNBA”. Go figure. I’m sure some fans like that type of behavior, but they aren’t buying too many jerseys or filling the stadiums.
It hilarious how they still don’t get. To any storm players that might accidentally read my comment. I don’t know your names I don’t and won’t follow your games. The WNBA seriously needs to put all these women in an intensive internal marketing training program and teach them about the WNBA’s branding and how they’re all a part of it. Diana and Brittany gained some respect back after they played and did the interviews about. Caitlin.
@@TheLucky-we4vr true, it’s everybody’s job for marketing. That’s my knock on Cheryl Reeves. You don’t grow the league by being petty back stabbers. The media plays a huge role in the animosity. I said elsewhere in this thread, I don’t think Jewell was out of line by redirecting the answer to be about her own teammates. By the way, the reason Jewell didn’t put up astronomical numbers, was because of Kelsey Mitchell.
@@MikeSchmidt969 yeah that should tell you a lot . 97 % of Basketball fans don't watch WNBA PRIOR CC22 ARRIVAL. and I being watching Basketball for more the 45 years I didn't;t know any of then until the Jealousy and envy came out agains CC22.
I was at the game today-great game, so much fun especially the 4th quarter. Hull hit the shots she had, as did Mitchell. It's not just Caitlin out there.
There ain't nothing "poor" about Caitlin, lol. They way she handles victory and defeat is why she's getting endorsements and THEY NEVER WILL. The rest of the WNBA babies need to grow up
Jewel has been interviewed twice after both sellouts against Indiana in Seattle (their only home sellouts of the year), and both times she said their fans always support them when asked about the huge sellout crowds. Petty! She had praised CC in college, but now is like F her and her fans making our team money!
Nneka is a professional. Just playing the game nothing personal. She's smart, she doesn't burn bridges. Caitlin is a superstar, who knows the way things are right now with a marketing degree she might be the first wnba player to become a billionaire. She might own a wnba team or a huge corporation. Players who are nice to her might get her favor in the future. These other jealous women would surely wont get her favor. Never burn bridges with anyone, you might ask some favors from them in the future.
I honestly believe CC could own a big part of the wnba if she insisted on it, and threatened to start her own league if they refused her. She is bigger than the wnba right now. These women are stupid, stupid, stupid.
no NBA player would act this way, because they are taught that they are part of selling the NBA. The moment they act like thugs, they will lose fans and hence money. The league will put a stop to thuggery anytime, they won't let anybody destroy their billion dollar industry.
What is wrong with these players? They need to watch NBA players interview and either get some media coaching or don't put them in front of a camera or microphone. The league as a whole is a meal ticket. Wow, embarrassing.
The title of this video could have easily been: "Seattle disrespected Lexi Hull, determined not to guard her & FAFO" Lexi was also the defensive player-of-the-game! (game ball goes to her) Whoever guarded Jewell Lloyd so close also gets the second game ball. (Not Caitlin, this time, LOL) If A. Boston keeps getting 15+ rebounds & 8+ assists then the Fever will never lose again, through the rest of the 2024 season. My on-going complaint about Christie Sides is that she is in denial of one major point of reality. She should feel totally self-chastised & debunked for believing that her best FEVER team is a post-up team. Basketball, whether its little league, pop-warner or WNBA, is a game of 'match-ups' & the 'W' has the fever beat in the # of effective "bigs" in the league already. However, the success of Caitlin Clark Kent, as a field general of a lightning quick playing play-off team will make all those "bigs" in the "W" 'straight-away' useless & obsolete. So, Christie, my dear, 'forget-about-it'.
@@michael1257 I think that’s a stretch. They just lost a hard battled game. The fourth quarter buried them. A piece of humble pie was served. Never an easy lesson.
@Jeh110 Clark is way better than Lloyd. Her passing is way better, she sees the floor and controls the entire flow of the game. Lloyd made a few tough shots but shes not out there making everyone else better the same way CC is.
@@mrcfilms7235 why are you so caught up in “Who is better?” Everyone of these ladies have skill. Jewell was rookie of the year 2015. @@mrcfilms7235 thanks for the great explanation. 😊 we are currently inundated with “never been a fan before” folks who get on here and argue senselessly. I appreciate your outlook on sports, for sure. I am here for the skills. Incredible how much talent has burst into the league.
I think Neka is classy. They played together on the All-Star team and liked each other. It was obvious. I’m sure she did not like losing tonight, but she was definitely not angered about it like the other girl. And I’m sure that was part of the fact that she was an Olympian that got her ass kicked.
To be fair, asking CC questions to the opposing team after a loss is kinda dumb. Like ask what makes playing her so hard, not what they think of her development. The reporters are tiresome with the same questions. At the same time, players need to be aware she is going to get the attention just like Lebron did when he first entered the NBA.
@MugiwaraNoReemy the question itself was terrible. Why would you ask another team about her development since day 1? I wouldn't answer it either. Its not another teams job to keep track of another players progress.
Imagine if it was A'ja and she said "Nneka's growth has been good and my growth has also been good, I want to talk about my players etc.." Thats ridiculous wtf, give the girl her flowers man, its easy. And you know damn well these players know the best players in their game, they can tell when how a player has growth from the last time they played them, especially a player like CC with a bunch of hype, so stop the bs
@@_CatBug_ you acting like its such a big deal to give a simple answer, "yeah she has improved, getting more comfortable in the league and getting her shot and finding her teammates, she is going to be a great player", thats fucking easy and im not a player, like come one
CC gets her flowers. It's ridiculous to ask another team about the development of another who isn't even on your team. Its a stupid question. The reporter should've asked a better all around question about CC. You're acting like disrespect and mediocrity is okay for reporters. It's not hard to formulate better questions at appropriate times.
During the game the mental focus is on winning the game. During postgame interviews the mental focus should be on the league, as in answering questions with the ultimate success of the WNBA in mind. No pouting .. look at the people asking questions (not down at the table). Smile. Be courteous. Always thank them and the fans for making it all possible. Easy stuff for an adult professional.
Reporters should stop asking them questions..! Seems that they don’t want to answer. They are put out almost. They wanted attention all the time they whined about everything and then when they get attention, they just don’t care to participate.
Haters , they should thank C. Clark because her and A. Reese brought attention to the WNBA. No one was watching WNBA prior to them coming to the league
They are just a little irritated because of the lost. They will come back and e ready the next time. Thank you Nneka for being the professional that you are....
How the fuck is this rubbing in her face? She is a grown ass women, she cant respect someones game? Just look at the NBA for how basketball players are supposed to act, they need media training ASAP
To be honest, if I were on the Storm, I would not want to answer questions about the Fever. Why did the reporter think it was a good idea to ask a Storm player to brag about Clark's rookie season? Are all women benefiting? Absolutely! Do they all have to become cheerleaders? Absolutley not!
wow, its sad how many ppl agree with this point, its called showing love and respect. Why be salty? Its just one game, NBA players do it all the time, they give love to opponent all the time, i seen WNBA players do it too, its just comes across as hate, cause there is no reason to. She could have said i seen a lot of growth.. then transitioned to hyping up her own players too.

At the 6:49 mark, Seattle Storm Coach Noelle Quinn plays down the confrontation with Indiana Fever Coach Christie Sides as just being about "gamesmanship". The TV broadcasters were maybe wrongly saying it was over the Fever substituting their bench late. However others realized it was over CAITLIN pumping up the crowd and being too close to the Seattle bench. The only reason Caitlin was so close to the Storm bench was because Skylar-Diggs intentional bumped into Caitlin.

Yeah Jewell avoided the CC question but her response was valid. They focusing on their team not CC. Post game interviews on the losing end are not fun.
Nah she said her rookie Nika was great where have you seen that greatness she hasn’t played then went on to talk about a 2nd year player.. They are vets nothing is wrong with being positive about a rookie in your league.. Not saying she should bow down to CC but be a pro.. The same player has talked about Angel in her post game she didn’t mention her rookies after they lost that game
What I think is the major problem is people who only know the wnba because of Caitlin, Caitlin brought a lot of people in and these narratives constantly pony her as an angel and everyone is out to get her.. when that isn’t the case. There was nothing wrong with what jewel said, big up her own rookies, everything doesn’t have to be about CC or Angel, she said nothing negative about her. The coach and Nneka shouted her out. People out here arguing that CC deserves mvp is the most telling thing about this whole CC narrative. let CC and all other rookies do what they do and allow the wnba to grow, it’s the media putting women against each other and forcing negative narratives
It’s obvious at least players don’t wanna talk about Kaitlyn Clark. I put this on the media. You’re stirring the pot sooner or later. One of these ladies is going to take a cheap shot. That’s going to injure somebody. This is on the media. Players that just lost a game don’t wanna talk about their opponents and they don’t want questions about how good or bad they played mostly because they can’t handle it. They are not mature enough to handle it when you lose you just go home. You work on it and you begin to learn how to play better and if you don’t play better, guess what you’re gonna keep on losing!
It's not on the media to coddle these women's feelings. Clark is what people want to hear about so they rightfully ask about her. These women are in the same league and should be happy to support and compliment each other.
I would be mad too if I lost twice to Caitlin Clark and the Fever. Nneka was very mature and that one player Jewell as you call her I don’t know her I just know she lost the the All Star game and tonight. Listen Jewell you can’t win every game. Nneka was very professional. WNBA teach the players when they lose take it on the chin and come back for the next game. The Coach for Seattle is to beautiful to be acting ugly at the end of the game. Listen reporters stop asking dumb questions about the winning teams players.
its not a stupid question, they ask the same questions to NBA players all the time and they give flowers and talk about that players growth to show respect, like a ball player does, being petty is never the answer, these season has exposed the WNBA on so many levels,
Facts 😂they want them to be Caitlin Clark’s Cheerleaders/Super Fan after just losing to Fevers, they need time to get over the lost and the media is always Caitlin this Caitlin that to her Opponents its like rubbing it in their faces😂
Jewel is a jealous Kewont, and she's not alone. Kudos to Neka for answering the question! This is the same team that refused to shake Caitlin's hand after the first time they played this year. Now they're whining about who knows what at the end of the game! It's my first time watching and following the WNBA and I'm absolutely shocked by the pettiness many of the players and teams have shown throughout the year. Friggin' embarrassing ~
“The impact Caitlin Clark has made is undeniable. While I personally connect more with Angel Reese, there’s no denying that Caitlin Clark has emerged as a transformative force, energizing and elevating the entire Indiana Fever organization.”
Its crazy how she doesn't realize she shows weakness by doing this. An NBA player would've complemented the rookie, and then would've just tried to take it to clark the next time they played them. By completely ignoring the question, it basically says " I know she's good but im going to let everyone know im a sore loser about it and that I'll probably never be as good as her, otherwise i would've kept it professional and let things play out on the court"
as a huge cc fan.... i would tell every other team NOT to answer stupid questions how their rookie seasons relate to cc lol..its simply stupid... nothing how these 2 answered was in any way disrespectful to cc...in fact they kept their composure from blowing up... and the comments in this post just shows how many of my fellow cc fans are just part of the problem..
If they want to grow their league they will answer questions about Clark with grace and honor. If they want to stay in the toilet they will act like this.
Reporters are just stirring the pot no one wants to answer a Question like that the Storm players were well aware of the butt kicking the Indiana Fever had just given them the question was totally uncalled for Caitlin Clark knows it was Lexi 's hot hand that sealed the deal and Caitlin was so happy for her
I got all this respect for Lloyd, so I won't comment on her post game interview. I think she and the Storms just didn't believe they'd lose to the Fevers. It took the air right out of their sails. Lloyd is one of the greats. I hope she gives CC the respect that I KNOW CC gives her. Congratulations Fever, you gave us a thrilling game.
I cant fault them for not talking about Clark in this interview. It was a 'gotcha' question. I'm a huge CC fan, and the Seattle coach and SDS actions at the end were infuriating to me, but this, not so much.
And then for the coach to say it was about gamesmanship! So basically, implying the Fever were wrong. If she was going to say that, why not say exactly what gamesmanship she was referring to?
I'm glad that Both Coaches have refrained from "Criticisms" They both have shown a touch of "Good Character" in "De-escalating" a moment of frustration. Well done Coaches. Everybody can have a bad moment, it is how you deal with it that counts. Sportsmanship is important. Representing the League is important. Setting a good example afterwards, good example ...grin....
Y'all need to get it together because the answer she gave is not hating! They're not there to talk about Caitlin Clark if you want to know anything about Clark ask your teammates asked her coach! But it is not the opposing teams Duty or job to answer questions about another player that's not on their team! Man y'all got to learn what hating is as opposed to just throwing the word out there when somebody says something you don't like
So they make excuses why CC shouldn’t be on the Olympic team and then make excuses why they all suck and she’s benefiting from not being on the Olympic team of why she is destroying them, the hate is so real and the hypocrisy runs deep
