On July 30th I was pulled out of a meeting because of a "disturbance" on the street. When I got to my office window, I saw my girlfriend standing on a bus across the street. What came next was the most genuine, funny, heartfelt marriage proposal.
Just the night before, we were talking about romance and I pretty much told her she wasn't romantic. I am eating crow...and will be for a long time.

I'm definitely not someone who cries very often, but this legitimately made me tear up. It's so lovely to see two people who are so in love finally able to get married. It's great that society is progressing after so many years of discrimination. Congratulations to you and your future wife.

This brought tears to my eyes. This is the cutest sweetest thing I have ever seen. You ain't kidding. She had me at "Hi". I love LOVE. I love romance. I love seeing people in love (regardless of whether or not their gender match is "status quo"). Love is LOVE and only true bigots and people with shriveled hearts could see this and think hate. From childhood, brought up in the church, I was taught that God IS love...and anyone with an open heart and eyes to see would recognize the love here for what it is. LOVE. Oh my gosh, I think I cried more than the bride did lol! and I'm NOT a sappy Hallmark kind of gal but this one pulled at my heartstrings and had me sobbing. Hell, I didn't even cry when my own fiancé proposed to me, so bad! lol but then not everyone has the kind of creativity or gumption to pull something like that off. You won't get hate from me. My only wish is that you can feel the hope & my greatest wish that someday you find someone who will 'move your furniture,' as a dear friend says of love. I'm not Christian but if people really & truly practiced what they proclaim to preach they'd realize that love is as pure as it gets & it shouldn't matter if that love is from a heterosexual couple or homosexual couple. Love is love. You don't choose it but you know it when it strikes & I can only hope that you find that special kind of love with someone who will carry you hand in hand throughout your lives together with as much love & happiness that it wipes away any hate from those too ignorant to know love when they see or feel it.

What makes me happy is seeing the comments full of love and support for this amazing couple.
