What's the furthest you've ridden? What do you think of my adventure so far? What do you want to see and learn about? Was this helpful for your rides?

Can you talk about notes/modifications you made to the official ridewithgps route?

Oh a Brompton only about 80miles for a day. Looking forward to be able to go on this actual route.

I think Brompton should be sponsoring you - this is an amazing trip, I think, for what's basically a city/commuter bike! I wouldn't have expected such an expedition could be undertaken on one. Definitely a good advert for Brompton. Plenty of recognizable views in this series!

Great vid on how to travel on your Brompton. Thanks from Woodinville

So interesting to see your route! I live in Mill Creek, but find it scary to bike to Snohomish (roads with no shoulders and heavy traffic). I end up driving my bike to Snohomish and riding the Centennial Trail. It will be interesting to see your route as you transition off the Centennial Trail and onto roads.

Can't take much credit for the route as it's the official one by Cascade bike club but I would say this is the most common way cyclists connect from Woodinville to Snohomish. Definitely not for everyone! The centennial trail is a treat for sure so look forward to the next episode!

Nice video. I've done RSVP a dozen times, always a fun social ride with friends. I always let CBC transport my bag.

😂 you'd be an expert on all the things I'll have to say.... But definitely some of the ups and downs of the ride to come.

Looking forward to the eastrail from Woodinville to Snohomish being completed. With $2.5 million in federal funds they started removing all the track in Woodinville this summer.

That's right! It's always a highlight for me that 40~ miles of the first day route is on trail... Imagining just pretty much half the way is away from cars is pretty sweet :)

Omg I enjoyed this video even more than I thought I would. Unlocked a lot of the memories of my first RSVP ride this year - I was too focused on finishing the ride and didn’t always take note on where I was. It’s surprising that the biggest hill of the ride is the first one to snohomoish and not the pink lemonade climb toward the end of day 1, which is when I felt it the most. Looking forward to seeing future episodes! ❤

Glad you enjoyed the video, it's a really beautiful route and one of my favorites! That lemonade hill is iconic indeed and I'll be sure to showcase it. Excited to keep uploading these in the coming weeks.

Fantastic real life experience you make there of Bromptons! Well done. What is the tiny handle in between the two brake lever clamps called? I assume its for the 'aero' bar?
@BestSideCycling
@BestSideCycling 9 месяцев назад
I talk more about them in part two! They are the SQLab inner bar ends and they give you another comfortable hand position.

Hi, i enjoyed your video. How was it riding the Brompton? Did you find it harder to ride than a full size bike? Did you experience Brompton drag? I look forward to your next video . Keep it rolling.

I was thinking first that you did 200 miles in one day with this bike, looks almost impossible but it's doable in two days but still great accomplishment 👍
@BestSideCycling
@BestSideCycling 10 месяцев назад
That might be a challenge I'll consider for the future! 200 miles in one day can be possible for a flat route like Seattle to Portland

@@BestSideCycling My personal record so far is 192 miles here in Florida with gravel bike. I was aiming for 200 but the hotel got me first. 😆

For someone who is new to long distance cycling, would you recommend STP or RSVP??
@BestSideCycling
@BestSideCycling 7 месяцев назад
I'd recommend both. If you're planning to do one day then STP since that's your only option. Out of the two though, I am biased towards RSVP. I love the route and it's less people overall (though some people love the bustling roads)!
