just saw Sebadoh Saturday in Asbury Park. They still fucking rule, new albums rules. Crowd was without energy. Mostly couples in their late 40s and mid 50s. no one drunk or talking. It was so strange. Jason made a joke, said "well you should all have lots of energy left for your second evening when we are done."
Lou Barlow made one of the greatest comments....he was the original bassist for Dinosaur Jr.... he said... "We new, we were looking for new job when J. Mascis realized he was a genius....That made me think...not only does Lou know, but he knows that I don't need to be a cling-on.... We saw Sebadoh in chicago....wonderful show...
Also, to all the Spoiled fanbois: “Dreams” is like if “Spoiled” grew up, got a real job, and had the sex with your mother and the told you that he did it at an inopportune moment for you socially and/or emotionally.
Reminds of seeing them open up for the flaming lips in 1999 I love sebadoh but I didn’t enjoy them live Jason can’t even get the opening riff close to right for its all you I love slacker 90’s music but even sonic youth gets closer to playing what’s actually on the original recording
I was at this show- it was Flaming Lips, Cornelius, IQU, and Sebadoh and was recorded for HBO. the show went on forever & my dad very patiently waited in the parking lot to drive my friend and me home
love the music, but the camera work is sloppy, almost everything poorly framed, overly shaky... please, the band can provide the vibe, you guys with the cameras, record it.
