If u look up 'sebastian maniscalco uber skit' its the exact same but much better audience. The content is funny its just the audience are terrible here
@Joseph Pedulla Ironic, seeing that Colbert's comedy style back when he was an actor and improviser was some of the edgiest humor that I've ever heard.
Venus Leoz yeah, the entire crowd had just seen his whole routine.... 🙄 Sorry but Colbert’s crowd are exactly how Nick described them. It’s why when he does the foreigner accent it sounds like the crowd doesn’t know what to do...
a colbert crowd doesn't strike me as maniscalco's target audience. this was awkward as hell. i've seen much better sets by him before, this felt painful at times.
True. But it wasn't just the audience as some people on the thread are saying. I've seen several of his specials and Sebastian's jokes and delivery were pretty weak in comparison.
Cause he is an old school guy and most of them are probably some bed wetting liberal that doesn't like for people to be made fun of. Me personally he's funny as hell
oh god that was a shitty night for him. I had to stop watching it even though i loved his jokes. I figured i would atleast get to hear it in his new special with real people reacting.
big fan of sebastian, his special "what's wrong with people" is one of the best stand up specials i have ever seen, its also clean comedy which is refreshing nowadays. But just like old pasty Billy ball-bag, he has his crowd. if you're in the YOLO crowd, u wont react to most of his jokes
Totally agree. There's comedians who will turn down a gig because the club owner wants a clean performance, even if it pays well. It's like asking a boxer to fight with one arm.
Sebastian is a very successful and funny comic. Sadly it looks like this crowd was too uptight and PC to appreciate his jokes. You could tell he wasn't able to be himself. It's difficult when you're on TV so that's understandable. People who think he's not funny should give his specials a try
I first watched this on my laptop and you can't hear the audience laughing and it looked like he bombed. I just rewatched it with good speakers and he is getting a good reaction. My perception the first time was that there was awkward silence after his jokes but not the case...His actual specials are hilarious.
I've seen most of his RU-vid stuff and I've seen him live.... I'm laughing and tears even on the things I've seen five six times over and over again.. he is just hilarious.. his delivery is jokes, his mannerisms, his subject, his content ..is always spot-on.. I don't know what the hell happened on this set...
sebastian is not the one that's bad, he is an incredibly funny comedian, it's the crowd that was terrible and this show is, without a doubt, the worst late night show i have ever seen, Stephen is not funny at all, even the atmosphere is lame and boring
I feel bad for Sebastian, He is really good but this wasn't his best at all, the crowd were also bad but it doesn't excuse him. For everyone giving him shit, not everyone cares about your opinion mate, if he isn't for you, then don't watch him, For me, I loves his standups and as a comedian, he could've done way better for this one, but still, I like him.
i now understand why there was a mistake with the original upload, this was just awful and painful to watch. Thanks to the guy who made the mistake, he wanted to spare us from this
I dunno if it was the crowd or his performance that night, probably a mixture of both. I ve seen the same jokes on a pervious show of his , it was more relaxed & natural....here he was just repeating them and probably didn't have enough time on the show .. which made him go too fast.. he did create the right atmosphere before & with each joke .. which affected his whole performance... so maybe some couldn't keep up with him or some of the audience mighy have seen it before .. yeah this was definitely awkward!
just because these people didn't laugh that much doesn't mean there's no comedic value in this set. every joke was funny and I find him very entertaining
The audience on the uncensored "Why Would You Do That?" comedy special on Showtime was a far better atmosphere and better set than this was. Late night comedy shows really are terrible venues for comedians.
Sebastian is HILARIOUS!!!! They must have told the audience WHEN they were ALLOWED to laugh or they just used a laugh track at the wrong times. They sure didn't RECOGNIZE Sebastian's FUNNY JOKES because they're not politically motivated to embarrass someone specifically. Their loss. Sebastian is GOLD!!!!
His set was perfect, the audience was absolutely atrocious. Unlike many people in the comments, I don't need to hear other people laugh to appreciate great comedy.
