My favourite of Seb's jokes getting continuity is the "Feliz Navidad" to Checo because Checo returned the favour by putting in the German for merry christmas in his post about Seb's retirement
I think Charles and Seb are the nicest people on the grid. Seb is... well, just Seb. But Charles is humble, hugely talented and really nice. I remember his sign "Thank you, Seb" when Seb left Ferrari.
I will always have the utmost respect for this man he exuberates positivism he used to motivate all the drivers on the grid, he speaks 5 languages and knows every single F1 World Champion from back to front and front to back. He is the goat 🐐
An absolute legend in the sport. A great guy, a fan of the sport with vast knowledge and also a great sense of humour too. He will be greatly missed but very fondly remembered.
I've liked F1 drivers before Seb - Schumacher & Hakkinen were nice, Raikkonen, Montoya also... But I've never been as fond of a driver as I am of Seb. I've become an out and out fan of the guy. He's been really great for F1 as a sport and a genuine legend. I think he brought out the best in other drivers too, especially Hamilton. The two of them and their time over the past 15 years will always be remembered. After 2007, we thought the next period of dominance in the "post Schumacher" era would be between Raikkonen and Alonso... Enter Seb and Lewis!
2010 was my first season to watch , i was just 13 years old. Now he i going to retire and i am 25 years old. This man literally was by my side more than my dad growing up. I am probably the saddest person on earth once he left
At least you reminded me on my personal experience with Michael Schumacher. I was also 13 years old when I really started to watch F1. It was during the 1998 season. And I was 21 years old, when Michael retired the first time. It was hard back then, but then Vettel came. So Sunday will be hard as well, especially in terms of his personality. We will miss you, Seb!
yeah, they've tried with KERS, almost all the teams decided that fk it, it's too complicated and heavy and started dropping it and then, 2014, they started the Duracell Championship, despite KNOWING well that Mercedes had a 2-3 years of development advantage. 2014, 2015, 2016 were the most boring seasons and Mercedes turned down their engines, to not lap everyone in the first 10 minutes of any race.
@@JohnSmith-ld5go Formula Monotype Parking started well before. As Eddie Irvine said in 2019 : I knew F1 was dead when I saw flourishing everywhere these ultra flat kerbs. Too bad he did not had the guts to open it. F1 entered coma after Senna death. the best driver ever dying in a non selective place with absolutely zero safety, where only technical failure could lead to a crash. Then politics jump in. Globalisation has hidden for some time that F1 was already in decline. Senna death had attracted more spectators for some time but after developing into Formula Parking, now everyone can see. F1 was almost as popular as Football. With a premium image. Now it's 1/10 or 1/15 of what football is . All tracks have lost 90% of their selectivity . Giovanna Amati did very well in Karting, she won races in Formula Abarth , F3 and had many years in F3000 in years where the level was very high. When she jump into F1, she was 3.5/4 seconds from Eric Van De Poele. Suzie Wolff did nothing everywhere where she went. She never scored anything even in series where they give points to number 205634 She was only few tenths from Massa and Maldonaldo . Why ? Cause selectivity is gone .
