Sebo Felix Rosso Upright Vacuum Cleaner Review & Home Demonstration

So do I! Mine was second hand and I wonder just how I've coped without it - bloody useless bagless stuff - who needs it!

It certainly is one of my favourite vacuums but it has some negative points, but in my experience, the positives outweigh the negatives. Probably best if you can try one out in a shop before making your final decision.

tiredrummertube I would always recommend a cylinder cleaner if you have mainly hard floors, but the Felix is the best upright style machine for hard floors when fitted with the parquet head. With the power head fitted, it gives carpets a good deep clean, so it is the best of both worlds.

vacuum nut A few other people have commented on the heat that the Felix gives off, but it's not something that has ever bothered me, though I can understand that in a hot climate it would be annoying. The new eco machines that we now have in Europe apparently don't exhaust as much heat, but until I try one for myself, I can't compare them.

Yes, the Felix is a very good cleaner. I bought my Mum the navy premium model several years ago and she is still using it, though I think it may need a new brushroll by now.

ibaisaic Well, that's another sale for SEBO as a direct result of your videos - I really wish they would think about paying you commission for all the sales that you generate. SEBO deserve the acclaim though as they are excellent machines.

+caro s Thanks for your kind words. I do like the Felix, it's one of my favourite vacuums and I hope you are happy with yours. I'm sure Sebo haven't even seen my videos as they have never contacted me, but they are my favourite vacuum brand, even without their thanks.

+ShrinkDavid 1982 The Felix is available in several different colours including a Union Jack design. I think you can get other designs in the USA.

ibaisaic yeah, I kinda think Mieles suck now, I recently worked on one and there was a loose connection in the wand, so I had to give it back to the owner, and he got a new wand for it, I feel like the Miele he bought, the Delphi was a waste of $700(US)(back in 2014), I like my Solarias Turbo Plus(the predecessor to the Delphi I think) that has a nice air-driven powerhead, that doesn’t stop when I put force on it, and I may get the Sebo Felix sometime in the future, because I like the versatility, and the same guy that owns the Miele and his brother run the One Way Board Shop, and at the shop, they use a Windsor Sensor XP12, and I like how it has really good quality plastic and rubber, easy to access brush roll, and bag full and check brush indicators and Sebo and Windsor are made by the same company, and whenever I get the Felix, I’ll get the Rosso version, because I like the Tetris design on the exhaust filter, and when it comes to versatile and lightweight machines, I think the Sebo Felix is better than the Shark Navigator, Rotator, or Rocket, Shark and Dyson suck

+Matt Jones I recommend the Felix 100% but think you may be better chosing a canister if you mainly have hard floors. The Felix is good on hard floors though, especially with the parquet head and you will find it easier to use than your other uprights. I would try one in a vacuum store if you have a Sebo dealer near you before you decide.

I have watched many demos of the Felix. I am a little old fashioned and I love my Kirby, and the Royal is great on rugs, but they aren't sealed. The Kirby filters a little better than the Royal, but I have read about Miele and Sebo for a long while. I rebuild Kirbys and have fixed many other brands, but only worked on one Sebo upright. They seemed a little more ' no nonsense' as apposed to the Miele. Besides keeping the floors clean, my concern is filtration since I have asthma. A canister would make sense, but I've never been much of a canister person. When I read about the Felix, and heard it was a hybrid, for lack of a better word, I became interested. Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it.

I have never noticed a considerable drop in performance when using the Felix will a full bag, but I expect some suction is lost. The later fabric bags are much better than the old paper bags for maintaining the suction for longer.

tiredrummertube Riccar vacuum cleaners are not available in the UK I'm afraid.

I have used my Felix powerhead on all my Sebo canisters that have the appropriate connections even with my older Sebos that came with a different powerhead. If you are thinking of getting a suction only Felix and using your D4 powerhead with it, it should fit, as long as the Felix has the electrical connections for the powerhead. As I have never had a suction only Felix, I can't say for sure that they will have the connections, but my guess is they will.

I have checked Sebo's US website and the Felix 4 Kombi lists the power heads as optional extras, so I would say that your D4 Premium head will work with it.

This is one of the higher wattage machines. New models have a 700 watt suction motor that runs a lot cooler. I have a 700 watt Vogue model and it doesn't produce much heat from the exhaust.

@@ibaisaic maby im spychic lol. I recently got the cordless pet lift away as a replacement for my shark pet stick vac for day to day use. For deep cleaning im thinking about getting the sebo dart 3 the comercial strength version of a felix. It will be to polish wood block stone tile flooring & deep clean carpets in between using a bissel hydrowave ( do let me know when you find out more about the hydrowave hard floor set ) i hope it will be suitable for my needs

The Dart is just the same as the Felix in terms of build quality, but it lacks some features including the adjustable height handle and electronic control. If you get the Dart 3 you will need to buy the power head to clean carpets. It would be cheaper to get a Felix and the Disco separately. I notice that Amazon are showing the hard floor roller for the Hydrowave, but it’s not available for a few weeks.

@@ibaisaic but its 1300 watts compared to a low 700. It also states on there website its a similar design but bigger bag & metal edging on the power head i dont mind buying the brush seperately its not a hugely expensive machine no more expensive than a large shark upright

First, I would check the fuse in the plug.

tiredrummertube It has S class filtration and is approved by the British Allergy Foundation. Some so called HEPA vacuums still let a lot of dust through the machine.

Sebo make most of the Windsor vacuums.

I've never found the Felix heavy to use and neither has my very petite elderly Mother, but I agree that the Shark is lighter and easier to use.
