I had one on my face and removed it in just one night by applying iodine and organic castor oil and covering with a bandaid.

I had one form on my face near my temple and my parrot picked it off gradually over a week. Talks about a painful removal! Part came back but the part got it again. Currently it's gone.

You don't mention grey among the colours. The ones I've had diagnosed are grey. Not brown or black, but grey. (It's a colour I wouldn't have thought could appear on my otherwise pink skin.) Just so nervous information seekers know that that can be the case.

My primary care doctor thought mine could be melanoma. I was so relieved when a dermatologist said it was seborrheic keratosis😮‍💨 I had it frozen yet it’s still there.🤦‍♀️

Dermatology is only 2 percent of there med school exams and that's usually white skin. Pcp is not going to recognize a thing.

You need a drug called Eskata but it was taken off the market due to not enough people buying it. I feel cheated and robbed.

Sometimes it takes a 2nd attempt at freezing. Or, it can be shaved off in the office. Call your insurance carrier to know if you have coverage...offices don't always know.

It’s high time something natural was discovered to get rid of these awful things. Tired of having my doctor look at me and smile, calling them the barnacles of life….freezing them off hurts like hell and does not work.
@norman7179
@norman7179 Месяц назад
It's been my experience that many dermatologists don't take the time to freeze them deep enough. Those need to be frozen 3-5 seconds not just touch and go. My dermatologist that I used 30+ years did great but he retired. I haven't found a decent one since then.

I was already using a 7% glycolic acid toner and 15% glycolic acid cream daily for the past several years when my SK formed on my eyelid. I thought it was cancer, but the derm says not. Since it is on my eyelid, is there any treatments that can be used there? I hope I am not stuck with this thing. It's a bit smaller than a dime, situated over my the center of my eye, and I can feel it when I blink. It's itchy, stings and hurts at times. My understanding is insurance does not cover any SK treatment. That's kind of cruel. I am sure it will continue to grow if I don't get rid of it.

I started using colloidal silver on mine. You can use this internally too.. look it up. I spray it in my eyes. The silver has shrunk some bumps on my torso.

Try castor oil. It won’t hurt your eye, in fact, people use this oil to encourage eyelash growth. Make sure it is cold pressed, hexane free, organic. It worked for my mum.

Thank you for your question! Over-the-counter, exfoliative topicals can help improve the rough appearance of seborrheic keratoses, including lotions or creams with ingredients including glycolic acid, salicylic acid, urea, or ammonium lactate. Otherwise, in-office treatments such as cryotherapy or curettage can be used to remove seborrheic keratoses if these become bothersome. It is always best to have keratoses checked by a medical professional to ensure there is nothing concerning with the lesions. Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help or if you have any other questions!

Hello there, thank you for your question! Yes, seborrheic keratoses are itchy at times, especially when they are growing or becoming irritated by clothing/friction. If these are becoming bothersome to you or someone you know, feel free to come in to the office to have these evaluated to discuss treatment or removal if necessary!
