At A&M, women do run for yell leader spots. (Yes, it's an elected position, and no, women haven't been elected to that just yet.) If a woman ever does get elected, she won't be waving silly pom-poms. I think conventional cheerleading is stupid. A&M just does it the way that way everybody did it a century ago. (A&M has numerous time capsule-like qualities.)
