With the first round of rankings coming out for the College Football Playoff, teams from across the country line up to try and improve their stock by spee dating. Just watch out you don't get buzzed!
@@d-upcomix they’re not making the playoff even in their best case. same division as ohio state, lost to the buckeyes. unless OSU somehow shits the bed 2x
Same here friend. But it's not our fault that our original schedule fell apart. Plus Washington intentionally leaked the negotiations to make BYU look bad. They honestly wouldn't move the needle at all for a potential CFB playoff spot.
@@cameronbakke7308 I highly doubt that but you can keep deluding yourself. At least we have a national championship since you guys decided not to play us in 1984. Thank you for that, by the way. We would have beaten you on the field to prove that.
@@cameronbakke7308 no guarantee for BYU, UW can opt out at any time if another PAC 12 team comes available, no payout for BYU, home field for UW, PAC 12 refs, Thanksgiving week. From an SEC fans perspective, who the hell does your conference think it is? Without USC you're the Mountain West.
@@andrewnayl And you're going to regress even more because you got to play one of the best teams in the country in your first game next season. And that team is Clemson.
@@AEMT-ks4so we all know that no matter how you spin it that was nowhere close to 25%. it effected the game but good for you guys. no shame in a lose to a good team. stop ducking ole miss.
@@michaeljohnson-on6nl it was definitely 24% (not even the full 25%). There is no spin involved, just simple fact. They literally can't sell more tickets than that, and every ticket is counted by the barcode scanners on the way in. If you paid attention to the whole stadium when you could see it a bunch of sections were entirely empty, and the alumni side was pretty sparse. The student section (which is what the cameras show most often) pressed closer together than they should have on the first and second deck instead of staying spread out, but even there it was nowhere near as dense as usual. Like usually on first deck and especially near the corps section you can't even stand normally, you have to turn your body diagonal. Those kids had all sorts of space: even the densist areas were less than half the usual. Also when students are expected to stand for the whole game they take up more space visually. Dan Mullen and Florida twitter were just jealous of the noise of almost 25,000 very riled up fans in a stadium that was specially designed in the renovation to maximize noise projection on to the field (field was lowered several feet, stadium fully closed in on all sides, and awnings primarily intended for directing noise back down).
@@whywhatwhenwherewow cool. Cameras still made look like that stadium had way more than 25K. If you say they didn't i'll take your word for it then. I'm not jealous of fan noise. I pissed we fumbled on a sure win and brought down are ranking. Its okay. A&M won't be backdooring their way into anything either. Clem, FL, ND, NW, Bama, Ohio. No space for anyone not playing a champ. But we are all dreamers still at this point. I'm hoping FL finds a way but its unlikely to beat Bama. Its why they will expand the playoffs soon.
@@michaeljohnson-on6nl can confirm, stadium was at quarter capacity. I was at the game in the student section, and outside of where us students were standing was mostly empty.
Dude as an LSU fan, we lost EVERYONE. And Chase And Shelvin opted out. Miles Brennan has actually been pretty good. I think it’s unfair to him bc we’re making him meet the standards of Joe Burrow, who is the best college football player of all time. I mean it is unfair to compare this year to last year and expect that to meet the same standards, which no college football team has ever done. But yea we suck this year
@Tom Berryhill for my understanding I'm 54.. ND never changed and claim they are still broke. 😂 so you meant can't afford to join a conference your conference 🤔 been a loooong time huh but ND wants money when playing cup cake teams that's trying to be top 5s where the big money is and awards 😁
@@justincarlson2316 Sure about that? We had Utah, Michigan State, Arizona State, Minnesota, Missouri, & Stanford, plus Boise as a side dish. Which one of those is not winnable by BYU this year?
The fact that they even had to buy a NW shirt makes me so goddamn happy lmao. I mean, if they somehow manage to pull an upset over OSU they're in, but that's a large "IF".
As a Bama fan ours was spot on LoL 😂 we was so depressed after how everything went down bc we all loved jalen and tua and one left one got injured and mac wasn't ready yet so this is perfect for us (we don't talk about our Kickers)
@@gradyadams2366 You know our guy has not missed all season right? I know its pessimistic but I can't help thinking that he is going to miss at the worst possible time. Bama kicking game karma.
It just got better and better...LSU actually taking out the trash... ...and then I think this is the first time SEC shorts has actually loved a Big10 team...
Coastal Carolina: “honestly I don’t know how we got here either...” 😉 Only kidding, y’all are playing very well! Edit: Coastal just beat BYU, the Chants need to be in an upcoming SEC Short!
Everyone: Coastal Carolina is the most underrated team in college! Liberty: When I am done with this team, they will not easily forget the name Liberty. And yet, still, no one seems to care about Liberty. I'm not a Liberty fan, but I find it humorous.
“I’m pretty bummed that they’re ruining my strength of schedule” As a Buckeye fan, I actually kind of feel that one Edit: The Notre Dame conference bit was pure gold
@Will Herman More like a great game between Alabama and osu is like a fish story: A one TD win has become a blowout and a rout the more years that pass.
Had to bring my Northwestern boyfriend in to watch this. He was quite pleased. As a UGA fan, kind of glad we were not mentioned. No need to pile on lol.
Bless you. From a BYU fan. Bless you for finally including us in the SEC shorts. Been hoping for a while. Masterful double stroke swipe at us and the PAC 12. Hoping we get an NY6 bid.
Yeah BYU will get a NY6 bid against someone like Coastal Carolina and spend the next 30 years bragging about it like they do when they won a "national championship" against a 6-6 Michigan team in the Holiday Bowl in 1984. In your heart of hearts you know BYU bragging rights are all garbage from garbage schedules, garbage bowls, and garbage teams.
That 1984 Holiday Bowl deal was weird all the way around. For those with long memories no SMU or Clay Brown. And it was broadcast in syndication on Mizlou Sports. Only time in modern recent memory that a D1 National Championship Football or Basketball Game wasn't televised on a Major Network. Although NBC might've teamed up with syndicated TVS to show NCAA Basketball Championships in the late Sixties and very early Seventies. Oh speaking of nostalgia back in 1980 Jim McMahon threw the winning TD pass to Clay Brown.B.W.
@@straddlecakes 1984 was a consensus national championship. Nobody put a gun to the pollsters' heads and made them vote for BYU. But nobody else in the entire country was more deserving than the Cougars. Cry more.
@@fort9303 yeah. Maybe. However, you will now have to go against a true Mullen QB. I love trask always have and was excited he finally got to start a whole year, but Jones really is the kind of qb Mullen loves. Its why he hung onto felipe for so long. That UGA D will have to stop a dual threat qb that been under Mullen for 3 years by that point. I definitely think it will be much more interesting of a game than this year.
@@fort9303 walk ons???? Please! UGA is top 5 in recruiting. All these years and you have nothing to show for it. Can’t spell underachieving without UGA
BYU lost their original schedule with 6 P5s so the bad SOS isn’t their fault. They should get a teeny bit of credit for being the only team west of Texas with the stones to play football up until like 3 weeks ago. Good short!
Yeah not true bud. I said mac Jones looked really good last year. Only people saying mac sucked last year are the ones hoping Bryce would start the year.
Omg I died when Notre Dame was asked if they were going to stay in a conference. "You finally joined a conference, and you might just win it. Are you gonna stay?" Notre Dame "NO!"
Indiana: Oh boy can’t wait for next year!!! Georgia, Michigan, Penn State, Oregon, Texas, Miami, Boise State, etc.: (looks at each other) Should...should we tell him?
Awesome seein' my Cougars get some love in this video, even if it's teasin' 'em. My Gators are also in control of their own destiny, so that's nice, too! It reminds me of 1996, when Steve Sarkisian led BYU to a 14-1 record, Cotton Bowl victory, and a #5 final ranking, while Danny Wuerffel led my Gators to a 12-1 record, Sugar Bowl victory in a rematch with FSU, and a national championship.
