The Texas Longhorns proved in 2023 they can contend with the best of the best, making the College Football Playoff and knocking off Alabama in Tuscaloosa during the regular season. This year, however, Alabama game into a conference game, and Texas officially enters the SEC along with Oklahoma. Joe Cook from Inside Texas joins Andy to discuss the impact of this move becoming official.

Texas moving to SEC has been helping with recruiting for 2 or 3 years, since a lot of players want to play in SEC over BIG12.

The difference between OU and Texas : -OU Joined ➡️ the SEC -The SEC joined ▶️ Texas Texas travels out of their home state 3 TOTAL TIMES in year one (and two are to Arkansas & Vanderbilt) The SEC came to Texas... While Oklahoma joined the SEC, and has to travel to 4 different states to play tough SEC oppenents in year one.

Watching Texas play TCU OR TECH around Thanksgiving has been insufferable for the past 12 years! The pageantry of the SEC is worth the trip alone. As a Razorback fan we should move the A&M game to the original Cotton Bowl a week before/after the Texas OU GAME. 😎😎😎

This is bigger than football and college sports, Texas and Oka its citizens are NOT southern, never have been, never will be. Not southerners and not welcome to claim any part of Southern culture and that includes our conference. Don't care about you, your team, your recruiting, your tv money, your not southerners. This is way more than about a sports conference.
