Trespa is a plastic sheet material, which is produced from thermosetting resins, which are reinforced with cellulose fibers. The production takes place by mixing with fiber material and resin material to be cured by means of heating. Trespa has high impact resistance, a closed surface (therefore easy to clean), fireproof (no melting or exploding ring risks). It is to edit with sawing, drilling and milling tools suitable for hardwood.g

lesson learned: one needs a CNC machine to make a CNC machine! That Trespa stuff: does it expand/deform with changing humidity? Better than plywood in terms of humidity and warping? I see it would be much easier to machine than Al.
@ralfklaassen

one needs a CNC machine to make a CNC machine! Exactly!!! On small sizes of material like that i dont think expanding is a problem. i build 2 machines with the stuff and dont find any problems with measurements.. machine stays rock solid and precise

Hi, Nice video. I have a question. What are the sizes you used for aluminum extrusions? I am building my first cnc machine which is roughly the same size as the one in the video. Thansk

Hi, i use 80 x 160 at the sides because i want the guides too keep perfectly straith 80 x 80 in between and i use 80 x 80 and 80 x 40 for the bridge. Greetz, Ralf

+Ralf Klaassen Hi Ralf! Could You write exact brand, producer, and *type* of those extrusions? Are they so called "light" (german: leicht) with approximately Gewicht spez. Länge 10.21 [kg/m] or "natural", thicker walls with approximately 13.52 kg/m ?! Do you have some bill or do You remember what was the price of those extrusions per meter, for all - 160x80mm, 80x80mm and 40x40mm ? My budget is not so good so I'm just thinking could I go for those "Profile8" if they cost "too much" especially bcs CNC would be much larger then yours? p.s. i know this is 2yrs old video but anyway info about price would help me for rough calculations. Thanks.

+milek021 +Ralf Klaassen Hi Ralf From the looks of the video they are the natural type. Given that you are using light and natural can i assume you are looking at Alu from item24? Im currently building a 2mx1.2m machine and the profile i could find cost around 80 to 120 euro per meter. Its really not cheap but the precision and easy over making it from steel is well worth it. If you are in Germany you are lucky as i found way more suppliers that sell to private people than i did in Sweden.

+Ryan MacKenzie hello, yes its the light version, more then strong enough for my cnc. Also think of the weight of the bridge, the heavier you build the slower the acceleration and decelleration will be. I buy at mostmy stuff at www.damencnc.com. Item and Maytec can be used , and have the same measurements

Hello! I am very glad to see that you have enough time to assemble a machine! I want to ask you, you can sell me a detailed drawing of the machine and all the electronics needed any! I have a small CNC machine JY5530 just need to increase koretku The adjusted and 5 axes! or can you tell me to send the entire electronics and I have to buy it! I myself live in Kazakhstan! So the competition will not be from me and the other line of work! Of course, I'll pay you well! In advance thank you! if you know Russian, we can talk on the line!
