It's called the Ring of Fire. My grandbaby calls it the fruit loops quilt. You can find the pattern on my website. I will post cutting information below Supplies: 1 jelly roll 2 yards of a contrasting solid for background 3/4 yard for binding 1 ¼ yard print for second border. Cut your solid background fabric into 2.5″ strips. Cut on the lengthwise grain (parallel to the selvage) so that you get longer strips (this will come in handy when you make the borders). To make each block you will need to cut: from Jelly Roll Strip 4 (2.5 inch) squares 4 (2.5 by 5.5 inch) squares 4 1.5 inch squares from background fabric Cut 144 squares (2.4 inch by 3.5 inch) Cut 144 squares (2.5 by 2.5 inch) Please watch the tutorial for tips and tricks for making this quilt.

I did a scant 1/4 inch on my rows with 7 blocks and a "chubby" 1/4 inch on my rows with partial blocks and they lined up on the edges. I hope you're enjoying your summer in the south.

Absolutely.

To make a square, sew three 2.5 inch squares in a row. Then attach the 6.5 inch strip to each side.

Yes, I love batiks for scrappy quilts

I did not starch these since they are batiks and very stiff already. Normal quilting cotton, I wash and starch before I cut my strips.
