Spencer Jones is a perfect fit for yankee stadium being a great center fielder and batting lefty with the short porch. Man I really hope him, Dominguez, Judge, Soto, Rice and Wells are in this lineup next year.
I wouldn’t count on Soto. Thats a long shot. I mean Soto turned down a very fair deal from the Nationals. He’s all about the money and doesn’t care where he ends up. The Yankees will have to shed a lot of contracts to even be in the running. And Hal already said this payroll is unsustainable. It’s nice to hope but chances are slim Soto is a Yankee in 2025.
Sotto is a boras client and they never sign extensions if they are top talents. Yeah he's not going to crush the payroll. He's making a ton of money this year. He makes 30 mil so they need maybe 15 to 20 more which they get when Rizzos contract comes off the books.

if the yankees want to win, they need to empty the farm. They have held onto these prospects for too long. Get another starter and 2 bats of top quality.
If you go position by position with the Phillies, we only have 2 players better than them, Judge in center and Soto in right, the Phillies are much better in all the other spots, especially catcher. Pitching is another conversation
I am afraid that the Yankees will never win another World Series until some major changes take place at the top. I know Hal will not sell the team even though I would not mind him doing that. The GM, the manager, and the entire couching staff should be replaced. This is not working and has not been working since 2009. I have been a Yankee fan since the late 80's and I was a teenager in the 90's when they won 3 out of 4 World Series and I don't know what else they can do now to turn this sinking ship around. yankees don’t even have enough good prospects to trade for him or skubal, they would have to trade their whole system because orioles can outbid them easily on any really good player
As an Orioles fan, the Yankees should really think about emptying the farm with this team, esp if its led by Boone and Cashman. IMO, they would be so foolish to do this.

Detroit doesn't need an Outfielder like Spencer Jones, Jones is a CF and we've our own future CF in Max Clarke who's more or less going to be better than Jones. I'm looking at Jackson Holiday and Colby Mayo as starters from Baltimore and if Mike Elias doesn't want to trade either. Than we just keep him.

I don't think they're suggesting a straight up trade. Normally, when people say to trade this or that prospect for a star, they mean to headline the trade package with said prospect. Yankees do have the pieces to trade for Skubal.
