Matt. I got a Kia K2500 4x4 builders truck. It’s the best investment I ever made. Our little boy , similar age to yours, loves it👍🏼 We go up mountains, camping on the beach. It’s tough, reliable, more space than regular 4x4 truck.

Look at the brake fluid, black as night. Filipinos don’t do maintenance just run them hard and then roll back the odometer, and always say like new ready for long trip. Good luck, it’s a real gamble buying used here.

The older the car is, the less frequently it is serviced or not at all. People don't have money to maintain a car or it's a waste to spend it. Recently I watched a car full of gadgets (android, rollbar, suspension lift) I ask the owner when he changed the timing belt because it was on the belt and he says never 😂

Hope everything works out for you good to change oil and filter and antifreeze to . And check the serpentine belt for cracks it’s the main belt on the vehicle . If it breaks your vehicle is done until a new one is installed .

If I buy something I change all filters and oils also in the transmission, transfer case (atf) and differentials. In addition, brake fluid which should be changed regularly and few do. On top of that, the timing gear if it's on a belt and checking the V-belts are the basics.

You need to remember that maintenance is just a suggestion in the philippines, and maintenance schedules are not always followed . Also, some Filipinos don't understand the term depreciation and want nearly as much as what you would pay for something new . Roads in the philippines are also not that good, so shocks and suspension parts ware out quickly, especially the stock parts that are cheap from the manufacturer. A new hilux is around 850 k pesos for the base model new, and it has everything you need to get around, and it's extremely dependable.

I know all this. New Hilux 4x4 is almost 1,9 mln basic fleet version is almost 1,2 mln even 850k is to much for me now. If i have this money i will think about that repo 4yo d-max this car was fresh starting price was 890k so it will be sold for 850 or maybe even cheaper.

Silver one sounds like a clutch/throw out bearing. Tropical country, muse expect fair wear/tear, but I had a 2008 great truck

The problem with used vehicles is the true mileage not what's on the odometer. It would be great if they had service history to confirm mileage and condition. Take care.☘️

Same is in Poland, everyone turn back odo, thats why we more likley checking seats, pedals, steering wheel and inside to estimate usage.

Nissan is a pickup truck owned by a male. They normally drive them fast. They are hard on them. Nissan parts are harder to find here in the Phil. I have a Nissan and love it. But it was much cheaper than that. Remember, most vehicles are bought on credit. That would be very difficult for a Filipino to get a loan for. Seems like his price is 100-150k to high. That's why it's been sitting. That's one of the troubles here. Also check to see if the registration is up to date. Otherwise you have to pay the LTO to bring it up to date and penalties. That can be very expensive.

I would pass on the vehicle. The reason the speedometer doesn't work, is because they were tampering with the odometer to turn it back. Don't buy from someone that is trying to SCAM you!

Most have odo turn back in Poland is the same. Only here it goes back to 100k and in Poland to 180k

Probably needs clutch pressure plate and through out baring and maybe more it will be costly for you . Take your time

When replacing the clutch which is usually done after 100-200k km it is best to replace everything, it is a lot of work and disassembly so in the case of this Nissan you need to change the clutch set and the dual mass flywheel.

Most rental cars and trucks are sold with odometers turned back . Turning back, the old number is a very common thing in the Philippines. I was told that many used vehicles for sale in the country are stoles. I plan to buy new.

Funny that the Nissan has the beeping sound when you leave the door open. Same with my current Nissan Leaf. Btw if you close the door and then open, the sound will turn off. Did you guys buy the car?

Hi Matt 👋 been watching you from Australia long time now, really enjoy your family adventures . I can give my opinion on cars a little. Second white Nissan is the better choice! However please know that parts on Nissan are ridiculous especially here in Australia.. please ask how much that clutch will cost you before you make the deciding. You never going to get perfect for 10yrs car, but Toyota usually is better when considering service etc reliability.. hope I help. Sorry I can't join live, I usually sleep because my shift work. I see on "every man has a story" that a woman was just murdered in Dumaguete, Philippines in broad daylight. A man asked for money from a Filipino woman and she just kept walking.
