The mythology behind lily of the valley is so varied. I think I told only part of it once. The flowers given in France on May 1 to sweethearts. It also was what Eve’s tears turned to in the Garden of Eden. Queen Elizabeth carried them in her bouquet for her coronation. Her favorite flowers. Also the flowers often used in high end perfumes. Great haull; you find the best things! My favorite is the floral bowl. The photograph of Charles "Lucky" Lindbergh is probably original to the tin frame. He made the first solo flight from NYC to Paris in 1927. I have a friend who has a commemorative pocket watch to mark the occasion as well. TFS.

Beautiful treasures you found. Love the Lily of the valley bowl & pin. Purple is my favorite color & I love it when you show your items. My friend paints & embellishes oyster shells to sell in our shared booth. Our other friend brings them back from Mississippi where they spend the winters. Winters in Wisconsin can be so long. Not sure where you live but I know you get snow & cold winters. TFS. ☮💜

Thank you. I was going to add the clips in at the end but then I decided to overlay them. I was just thinking about how I seem to find things in bunches for a short period of time and then never again. Maybe this is the lily phase.

I don’t really such much when I go out thrifting. Estate sales here are not that great here anymore, at least that I have gone. It is very rare for me to find that stone and when I do rings are too small or the pieces are broken. So I enjoy watching what you find. It is so fun. Btw I love that lemon soap dish too. I loved seashell soaps my mom had and the pearls with soap in them for a bath I think. My mom would use that for me as a special treat. 🥰

@@TarnishedTreasures1 I volunteer at a thrift store (it’s proceeds goes to the town food pantry. Sadly I’ve never really found many goodies but it’s rewarding in other ways. When our brutal winter passes I hope to make it to other thrift store an hour away. Until then I’ll live thru you😂
Beautiful finds. I would not decoupage anything in the shell you were talking about. A couple others would be good for that. Now, of course that is just my opinion. Lol The dress was so pretty. Hi! I don't know if you ever found your other pin but you could possibly have a safety catch put on at a jeweler or at least add a gold chain so it will not fall off when you ware it and I sure would want to ware it. 😆 The shells are beautiful. An abalone shell would be beautiful too. 👍💕
I loved the embellished oyster shells. We live in the northwest where we have an abundance of oyster shells so now I just need to collect some fun costume jewelry to add to them!😊
