The first battle is probably the craziest/most entertaining battle I've seen!!! Wp to both!

Awesome video, I really enjoy this long format! In the second battle, there's a clear demonstration of how crucial it is to have a Scorpio in this tournament. I had a significant advantage with the cavalry and elephants, but I couldn't effectively use them to support my weak infantry because the Scorpio would have decimated the cavalry. Although it's not shown in the video, Nightingale nearly routed my general with the Scorpio, forcing me to send it back once the elephants had died. The first battle was probably the funniest and closest I had in the last months. In the third battle I really needed to shoot all the javelins in my thureos swords right away so that I could have units ready for melee to support my pikes. For targets such as cav and elephants I was keeping the euzonoi and their 3 javelins in reserve, but I needed desperately the thureos swords in order to support my pikes and avoid what happened in the second battle, when he surrounded the pikes and slaughtered the cheap infantry.

True words, you played the last battle expertly and depleted all of my resources before delivering the killing blow with the elephants. After than desperate cavalry charge I had nothing left to counter them with. Not to talk about me being way too agressive with my smaller mercenary elephants :D. The scorpio is big. The second battle is a good example of how difficult the battle becomes when the opponent has one and you don't. You cavalry just ends up having to pull so far back. GG! This made me happy watching it again although it was a bitter loss! :D

Hmm ‘army losses’ must have negative impacted Nightingale’s elephants morale at the end(

They did, the value of johnny's remaining infantry was so much higher than mine. I also probably made a mistake by going after the pack. Should have just gone after the flag. I was afraid that If I kill the flag bearing elephant the unit center of mass moves so far that they might rally. This happened anyway once I moved so bad move from me :D

@ Well it was a blast to watch good sir, thank you :D I find elephants very difficult to counter, probably should have laid all the cards on the table early on instead of holding them in reserves, they’re very resilient and can take some hit while shattering the enemy lines

@@forrestlin9590They are indeed. They need a concerted effort to take them down and they always pose an existential threat. Especially the big ones, but even the lighter elephants can turn a battle quickly.
