Sir, literature says that secondary syphilis occurs 6 to 8 weeks after primary chancre while in the video the secondary ibp which is time period between infection and rash is 8 weeks, shouldnt it be more given the ibp for primary chancre is 9 to 90 days?

That's a good question. Let's say primary chance occurs on day 9, resolves, and then secondary syphilis occurs after 6 weeks. So this will satisfy the above criteria. Additionally, in patients where the primary incubation period will be closer to 90 days, of course they will not have a secondary incubation period of 8 weeks. These timelines are rough estimates, and are made largely for policy making or convenience or to better understand the disease. in real life scenario, the great imitator syphilis can present like anything.
