The cameras are displayed very nicely and easy to browse on the shelves. I only go when they have at least 60% off sale. Bring a small flashlight when browsing as it is a bit dark on the shelves and in their bins. Don’t forget to look at the top shelves. If you are looking for electronic flash or any item that requires batteries, be prepared to bring those specific batteries to test the product. If you are tech savvy, bring a continuity tester, power bank, wire brush, and cleaning probe. Also bring a small magnifying glass so you can inspect the cameras/lenses. They do have a table to sit at so you can inspect and test those items. You may have to check-in your bags at the front desk and if you have a camera or lens in your bag you need to test with, just tell the people at the desk to concur with that so they know those are your personal items. In addition to film SLR/Rangefinder cameras, DSLR, pocket digital cameras, tripods, camera bags, video equipment, camera accessories and other related camera items. Plan to spend some time hunting.
I went end of March 2024 on a 90% off day (every item Tbt 100). That means, the good items (presuming there where any in the first place) are long gone. The cameras... well, I have already a drawer with old digital cameras - and the film cameras have little value (I have some too). IMHO it makes more sense to come on the first day - when items are expensive - but way more interesting. Lenses are worse, pretty much all have glass mold (can't be repaired!), many are corroded. Now, if you are into (or want to learn) camera/lens repair - this is a very good place to get cheap "patients" to operate on! Also heard that Lucky Home has sometimes auctions - now THAT I would be interested in! And I fully understand that you do not want to touch stuff there - it's incredebilty dirty. But there is a sink outside.
@@JosFort54321 I think it works like that: They get fresh stuff every two month and then lower the price every two weeks or so. IMHO it makes most sense to go there when the price is the highest. At the end it's only (camera) junk. Audio items seems to opersate differently. Google also for "Treasure Factory"
Brilliantly done yeh Soi dogs 🐕 lookout 👀 What an interesting place to definitely check out in Bangkok. Thanks for sharing with us a yet again a very entertaining video . Peace ✌️
Watched this on a flight back from venice to alicante- top stuff, camera footage and editing on point as per usual. I'd hate to think how much a technics sl1200 would cost there (I brought decks, mixer and records with me to spain when I moved over)- and the small film camera, I think the film type was a 110 (the James bond one I think you called it) Good stuff 👏 👍
I usually go macro get a little 2.1 with a decent subwoofer on it and give it away when I leave but this place looks sweet Rob thanks for the heads up... 👍
@@ProjectBangkok can't remember if you had a sub set up on your PC set up in your digs I'll be doing some drone footage next time I'm there maybe you know a meandering Thai music download page for my footage? Keep up the good stuff Rob I have shared your stuff on my Thai website hope you get some subs from it 33K and rising there so a lot of views for you... 😉
Oh wow thank you so much for sharing I appreciate it! Not sure I know any Thai music places.. I get all my tunes from epidemic sounds 👍🏻 no sub for the edit desk.. don’t really need it for the most part and sound proofing here is not the best.. if I was living in a house I would be all over that though lol
@@remijamault3802 I went to another place call Mega Plaza They don't have this big collection but they do keep all kinds of cameras so you can try that as well
I live at Samrong (Other side of Sukhumvit Road) and have never seen this place? I'll go check it out next week! What Pirate radio station was you involved with? I was involved with LWR. Cheers Tony
It sad to have to point this out to you, but every statue of a siting person in Thailand is not necessarily that of Buddha, especially if there is no flame of illumination over their head. The black statue you saw is clearly that of a revered monk !!
It’s all good Leo.. I don’t pretend to know anything to be honest.. for the most part I’m an idiot.. I walk around solo a lot so is hard to learn as much.. but I learn something new everyday and you have just added to that so I appreciate it 🙏 I’m still an idiot though haha
