I’ve played this song thousands of times - what’s one more? Been revisiting the ol SAW discography lately and wanted to record a video of this one. Switched up a couple things for fun, but hey - isn’t that what it’s all about?
HECK YES! SAW got a lot of play in Columbus Ohio (RadioU) ages ago along with Shreddy, so its awesome to listen to this track again, but from a totally different time and perspective. Keep up the great work!
@@ryanloerke981 sadly never saw you live. I really didn't get into concerts much back then. Now that I'm older I've suddenly decided I missed out on a lot including your work. I'll be front & center if you ever visit again. You rock!
Really appreciate your contribution to early Spiritbox, The Mara Effect 1,2,3 studio performance video was a must replay during some rough times. Always felt you filled space appropriately, when given that creative freedom. Hope you’re doing well; I’ll be checking out your other playthroughs and definitely post any new projects as they come!
Thanks so much! I appreciate the kind sentiments. It was a lot of fun to play with everyone in SB and that live studio project was a bucket list item for sure. I just tried to serve the songs as best as I could while adding in my own personality.
Man, I got a bit nostalgic and looked up my old myspace account and my featured song was "Warrior" by you guys. Freaking loved you guys back then, instantly put you guys back in my rotation. Please put out new stuff!!!
Yoooo it’s so great to see you do a SAW cover. I miss y’all so much. Been listening to teenage fantasy and great white whale since I was 10. Still love them both so much 11 years later. Keep it up man, you’re truly an inspiration for me as a drummer
Thank you so much! That’s really rad to hear you’ve been listening for so long. I’m hoping we can get it together and put out some new stuff in the future :)
what are some of the bands you've been involved that you're personally attatched to or excited about with your drumming? i have enjoyed shreddy krueger and secret and whisper off and on for a long time but i'm on a kick to wanna hear more drums by you haha you're really good and it's fun to listen to your style!
Imma check out some spiritbox though! Thank you for all your creations. SaW and Shreddy Krueger have had a place in my heart for a long time lots of good vibes through all sorts of days! Thanks again!
@@ryanloerke981 that’s so incredible. My name is Gannon but I’m the OG since I was born before it was released in 1986 lol. Inherently a huge Zelda fan.
my favorite song of all time, i remember hearing the demo for the first time on myspace, i was blown away. such a great sound. i hope you guys are doing good, keep it up. Greetings from Germany and by the way, is this the Snare of Time? haha
Wow, thanks Benjamin! It’s crazy to think it’s been 15 years since that demo was out. We’re slowly trying to get back to it. And yes, it is absolutely a Hyrulian snare haha. I remember asking Jeremy at Q Drum Co. to make it “look like a buried treasure or relic”. They weren’t really doing custom stuff like that, but he was gracious enough to make that one for me. It is hands down the most used, recorded, borrowed, rented snare I own.
Thank you! That’s a good one. I’ll have to revisit that and try and put something together. We’ve been playing all our old songs together so might have to throw that in the mix.
