I think as long as the only weapons affected with the no sharing thing are unique weapons, I don't see a problem. Standard weapons would make sense to share since you will usually be having those long before you get any cool unique ones, meaning if a partner is low on Weapons, you can share one of yours so they aren't screwed.
I certainly hope gun weilding enemies are RARE. Cuz the last thing I want this game to do is forcing me to switch to range if I prefer melee combat. This game was built from the ground up FOR melee. I like some gunplay, but I do hope they dont pull this game into a half melee half gun game

They aready took a risk with having this recent update. I rather have a game that tries to at the very least honor most of its lore. But I think we all agree techland fucking sucks at making worldbuilding rpgs(yet they are apparently making another one lol).
I agree that looks bad. Also i think there should be an armor that can stop you from taking dmg from guns but the Armor eventually breaks. something like that can be good imo.

Wait until DL1 people want DL2 to have that exact same mechanic just to be more like the 1st game. It was annoying in the first game, it's annoying in every game. Simply because hit scanning weapons that stun are unavoidable. At least DL2 stuns can be entirely avoided through correct player action.
What id like to see. 1) Depending on the faction you chose , id like to see the otherside rebuild/try to take over the territory you have. Kinda like you must recapture it again. For me its the PK that are absent and their base is just an empty shell. 2) We need horses and Dirtbikes with stash ability. 3) upgrade the PK/Villagers/renegades with shields 4) craftable spears. 5) main house customization (only for aidens house at the fisheye) it sounds dumb but if you could have like your own armory wall or decor it would be sweet. 6) An herbalist aside the baba. Im talking one that sells you herbs (only small idea bc yes im aware of the looting, but rn its hard to find lavender lol and it could be cool to male different inhibitor types)
for your lavender problem try and remember the roof top groves that has them. I got a map of all the red flowers that i circle every now and then and the Blood tiles DLC got loads of flowers in a patch around the big arena building. Preatty neat for Honey atleast :D

very creative and insightful suggestions truly, knowing how the gaming industry is , dying light 3 will come out in 2034(exaggeration) but the game wont be finished as we experienced with dying light 2. I love dying light 1 so much,such an enjoyable combat system, movement and nice reality grounded story.
I would be realy cool, if Renegades would sometimes jam the weapon, because they didnt know how to use them well, also they could be seen firing at bottles for practise. But that is unlikely. 😅
Well, according to the plot, the renegades are former army soldiers who obeyed the colonel. They should be able to use these weapons better than Aiden.😅😊

If only the enemies would actually fear guns so they can make it more realistic, renegades don't acknowledge that aiden has a gun, even if they're on drugs. They still have instincts bc they still run from aiden

Exactly what I expected in the recent update and the next update. I hope we get new guns such as a pump action shotgun, sniper rifle, Marksman rifle, revolver or something like that. The renegade with Guns should be called Gunners because they're the type of renegades that carry guns. About the rewards and undroppable stuff such as the renegade mask, they should definitely make them dropable in the next update you were talking about just recently.
I really wanted them to add more diverse objects for resource extraction. More cabinets, shelves and to make them look different. And remove or change the animation of opening the suitcase, where you need to press the button (it would be better to simply replace the press with animation), and it looks illogical when he forcefully tears the straps, when it would be more logical to cut the straps with a knife. I'm going to say dying light 2 is starting to be dying light one with enemies being able to use guns I hope that they aren't going to be annoying as in one
In DL1 we could use a night hunter booster and not care about the enemies ever. I hope in DL2 firstly the fire rate is lower and hopefully we get a buff for toughness booster.
Techland should just rework the main story at this point. The military confiscating all firearms being the reason there are no guns in villedor is such lazy writing.

Good but if Techland adds these variants of the renegades to the game they should Nerf em before they release em such as lowering the bullet damage and accuracy cuz in the first game rais men and the bandits in the following have very high accuracy and kill you super quick, remove the stun lock too as well as not giving them infinite ammo like in the first game.
I think techland needs to stop this BS this is an single player game you should do whatever you want with your player like when they prevented you from being able to drop people weapons is absolutely horrendously pathetic secondly the volatile in night not really roaming they are just spawning which means each time you go inside the safe zone they are disappearing but then if you quit the safe zone they randomly appear out of nowhere in different places but is not how volatiles in dying light used to be they were supposed to roam like in dl1. And 3rd maybe change the volatile face so it will look more scary i mean the current models of the volatiles are not scary maybe except the tyrant volatile but the regular one doesnt look as scary and his attacks obviously way to slow its lie he is charging the attack rather then attacking you like in dl1 they attacked tou very fast and also make them a bit faster because they are quite easy to escape from in certain scenarios and maybe decrease the amount of safe zone (but that idk maybe some people will like it while others don't) but that's all for now.
Personal hopes and ideas: Hopes are that Renegades(and maybe some bandits) could fire more than 1 bullet at a time AND they will have a Reload and not unlike Bandits of Rais who can shoot at you non-stop and the only opening they give is when they're behind a cover. By the way, i hope Renegades(and AI in general) would have Expanded Emotions, where Renegades would understand what a "gun" means and will get their hands up like Rais's thugs did. I hope for them to use more cover, once they recognize that you have a Bow, Crossbow or a Gun and use it while they're reloading or just having guns themselves. I have a lot to say, but now, let's talk about Ideas: 1) some Renegades would have an access to the Scorpio(to get it without a blueprint if you missed the event) and you'll find some Harpoons for that weapon on dead bodies. 2) Guns would have a jamming system, but it would be easy like in RDR2. Enemies would have jamms too, but it would happen rarely. 3) Guns, bows, crossbows and Scorpio would now be dropped on dead bodies and you'll be able to dismantle them or sell for quite a high price. 4) There'll be a new random encounter, where a group of Renegades with Guns are surrounded by a horde of zombies and some Specials. It would be a new Legendary encounter, where you'll find now just one, but two Legendary crates! So it would be your choice, to fight for it or not. But such encounters would help a lot with Bounties at Piligrim Outpost or in tasks of Agents. 5) Since Jai would now consider Guns being for everyone not such of a secret, he would give us more stuff to fight Armed renegades and bandits. Such as, would be new guns - Revolver(🔺dmg, 🔺accuracy, but 🔻capacity, 🔻very loud) it would have a Speed Loader, so no rusty old revolvers. A Bolt-action Rifle(🔺🔺dmg, 🔺🔺accuracy, penetrate armor but have to reload after each shot and it's ammo is rare) good against single targets or in case you'd like to place a collateral shot. I'd like to add Sawn-Off, Stationary LMGs, Welrod(fully silenced single fire pistol)
Shelves and counters are still empty of scrap in the hardware stores and still no cordyceps at any of the groves, THIS CANNOT CONTINUE VERY MUCH LONGER! Of course some Renegades would have to use guns too for more balanced ranged combat
i'd love for the guns to have mods. Scopes, mags, semi and full auto capability...silencers and elemental dmg. it's nice to have guns added again but they shoulda had some sort of mod capacity as well.
I was hoping they were not gonna give the renegades guns cos I still prefer melee for one simple reason, the guns suck, the shotgun is way underpowered, 4 or 5 shots to take down volatiles, and a good 8 or so for a demolisher, I am maxed out legend levels. It should be like dl1 shotgun. That has some right power!

Plus I only play solo, I have completed ng plus over ten times already. End game content is non existent, why can’t I run round my own map being a god like figure? And why on earth they keep nerfing my tank gear? What is the point of that? Also one last thing is stamina. When ya maxed out in dl1 ya was immune to stamina drain, why not in this one? I grinded my ass off to get to 250 before they released the easy way to legend up. For what reward? I feel we still have big drawbacks still in this game.
So, the story basically is now. Yeah no the army and everyone in Villedor was "Braindead" Not only did the army not know where these cashes were, not only did nobody in villedor not even accidentally stumble across them, not only did the people not the military of villedor procure a means of creating ammo. Ammo and guns are so plentiful in Villedor the place is littered with cashes.
Lmfao yeah that’s “organic” they said they were “organically added” it makes no sense. They could have made it a faction choice, and introduced the actual renegades faction into the game with it. Instead we get it the most lazy way humanly possible.
I know this sounds messed up lol but i think the story would be basically the secret stash was stolen long time ago, people thought its a lost armory but in reality someone already had it.
Gunslinging Renegades should only spawn if Aiden is carrying a gun on him. The dlc rights thing sucks. Even if a stranger or a friend gives you a dlc weapon you haven't bought, you still don't have its blueprints. Techland is just being greedy on this one. And the same thing happening to certain event weapons clearly means they're going to sell us things like the Scorpio eventually.
I would like some the game to have a more horror feel to it and mores zombie in the overworld especially at night, and have them break out in masses at night to show that they were hiding. Anothing change i would love to see is to stop having the zombies spawn n groups and spawn more naturally around the world
Kill any possible future game modes. How much and often people use glitches BT DLC weapons ? Someone complain ? All think developers are stupid and can't take the items from us ? They can take items from us in certain modes, as happens on elite agent assignments. We can always report/complain to the developers en masse. Ask to fix/remove/nerf (THAT'S ALL THEY DO)
History is the best example my friend. DL1 had these op crazy items and weapons that till date is not blocked from PVP modes. In Dying Light 2 yes they can restrict some items from being used in the game modes, but then again if they are restricted who do you think will buy any exclusive store item ? and people who use glitch weapons or make videos on glitches actually help techland to patch them. ohh finally we do report these things :)
Missed opportunity, you work with tackhead and renegades get guns, you work with jai and survivors get guns. I'm guessing they're just giving up on the choices in the game?
Survivor faction are soo scared for everything. They not strong they run stay far of combat for everyone haha. So they Need just continu make tomato 🤣🤣
They once again only added animations for the rifle to be used, the npcs should also be using shotguns, sub machine guns and pistols. They should also create the opportunity to join the renegades (the colonel and his men) not those generic cannon fodder goons all over the city which don’t even make sense.
Techland has been restricting the player ina LOT of things in dl2, animations moves like head stomp takedown ect. I find most actions in the game restrict the player too much because the devs thought 'OH N-NO W-WE CAN'T LET THE PLAYER F-FIND BUGS IN OUR CODE B-BECAUSE WE DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX IT' I don't know how the code is, but there is a sure blatant LACK of content promised by literal advertising 🤦 I know they prolly said it was bound to change, but non the less when we saw that the devs had 2 choices, stick to it, or screw everything up. I just wanna be free and able to maintain momentum building it up and going fast, as well... Please Please Please I wish I WISH just please let me parry\block midair as well as stomp and other parkour moves that it'd make sense in, if my left arm is free so is the ability to parry available ☠☠
Not allowing people to share weapons is REALLY stupid. I would always drop stuff for my cousin and friends who haven’t played in forever to help them out. I REALLY do NOT like this change. The DLC weapons I can understand. But they should not be doing this with other ones. That legitimately makes me mad.
They should honestly just remove blocking from guns and make ADS right click. Doesn’t make sense why you would try and block combo with an assault rifle. Also aiming with left control is weird and a terrible choice

Guys can you like my idea in the community ideas page, it's an air grappling move and it has the title " Hurricanranas on zombies is kool ". I think it would add more replay value to the game and fit in with the bloody ties dlc giving it a more WWE feel when fighting in the arena. Thank you

It fucking sucks they are making it to where we can't share certain weapons with friends or other players I stockpiled Soooo many weapons to give to some friends and now I don't even know if I can still give them weapons
I think that guns in dying light are acceptable if they are just one of fun tools to kill zombies, giving guns to enemies creates lots of problems both from game and story/immersion perspective
your survivor rank weapons wont be shared with someone who hasnt reached that yet either, tried to help buddy out so we could try DLC and it wouldnt let him pick it up
That can be done but that would require a lot of rework and too much money/time. I think Techland is smart to focus on the future here, they are improving and addings things to prepare people for the Next Big thing. "Story DLC 2"
Basically you will be able to download some community made mods that has been approved by Techland. Mods can be anything, it can add new weapons, new outfits, new locations, new enemies and more. also it was recently delayed so it might release in the next few months.
I want to see dual pistols and revolvers like i miss using a revolver and dual pistols 😞😞 and a double barrel shutgun and a sniper and lets not forget more rifles and an uzi
The renegade variants with the guns will come out later on or whenever they're released but kinda wish they drop the military rifles after they're killed cuz having to grind agent rep for jai becomes stale and boring sometimes.

I really hope that they take this change back with the DLC weapons and event weapons. Dying Light has always been special for people who give each other gifts and help each other. If only the Bloody Ties weapons can no longer be given away, that would be completely okay, after all they are really OP. But DLC weapons? Nah uh that's too much change ... After all, a bundle doesn't just contain a weapon but much more like skins etc. I would like to continue to give my friends a copy of a DLC weapon in the future if they want one but don't have the money for it.
Is it me, or do guns feel a little underwhelming. I remember in the first Dying Light that shotguns alone could drop a demolisher rather quickly. I remember the trade off though being two things. The scarcity of ammo (unless you farmed ammo in the Country Side from the Following), and the fact that all the virals will be on you rather quickly. However, in Dying Light 2, the shotgun struggled to take down a Goon even. Am I missing something? I was getting headshots. Ali, could you somehow bring this attention to the devs please?
The whole dropping items thing is so stupid. He got put that back, but has anyone realized there was zombies with like dynamite or C4 bombs attached to their bodies I wonder if we’re gonna have , kamikaze zombies that would be cool and suck lol but the fact that bad guys now have guns kind of sucks at least I could still snipe them from a mile away lol or just drop a bomb those new bombs look awesome but they don’t look like they do a lot. I just look cool grenades if you dropped one as close as you did with that volatile that it would’ve killed u but these nuke bombs should be like if the be like if the chase is past five and you have like 100 monsters after you could just drop that and 💥 💥 start over 😂 but seriously back on the nuke bombs they should like show us some kind of like environmental damage. Maybe it’s a good way to like clean up the radiation you know just chuck bombs at it and let it go in the air and let the world figure it out 💣 and 💪 Supposedly everyone’s dead anyway

bro that’s messed up, someone dropped me couple military machete before I dl the bloody ties for free and was so awestruck by it’s one hit ability .. so now you’re saying he wouldn’t have been able to drop me anymore? I have since done the glitch few times and have been able to amass a small cache of MM because they’re non repairable so when they break you need a new one ☝️ but they’re awesome cause they one hit anything (2hit for the GRE monster or w/e)

Technically it still is a modern dark age. Guns don’t make or break that and outside the walls there would still be guns and guns would also be scattered around the city cause there’s no way you can disarm millions of people. The moment gun confiscation started word would get around and people would either fight or start stashing them. You’d never find them all.
I think the reason why they are restricting weapon drops is bc theres a problem with modders making OP variants and ppl just dropping the glitched weapons. So, to prevent that they are disabling the drop feature. Which is stupid bc the reason theres modded weapons is bc theres no good weapons and if there were it wouldn’t be an issue.

No, fixing the duping glitch is a good move. That ruined PvP Be the zombie mode in DL1. If ever we will get a more balanced PvP in the future. Play the game as intended and stop duping and glitching shit.
My friend no one talked about duping glitch here, I am fine with techland patching glitches, it's just some weapons should be allowed to share with friends. The Scorpio is the best example of a limited timed reward.
