So Poetic. I found this song by watching The Orville, where one of the characters sang this song, made me search for the original... and definitely not disappointed.
That's something that attracted my attention to this song - I try to be patient. Accepting the fact that we're all tied up with incongruity all-round. I heard it through Orville as well. I've actually got the sheet music for it.
Finally I am discovering the secret of life by actually enjoying the passage of time. I previously made a career out of feeling sorry for myself. I am learning to take control of my life and strive to enjoy it in spite of medical issues. Peace to all you RU-vidrs out there!
The Great one . The finest singer of his time and even today James is a true legend . Beautiful in every way his music is timeless . No one can take his place in history. Saw him once and I loved every moment. Great music . Thank you for posting these videos there amazing!!!!

I heard this song for the first time today at the end of The Orville S03E10. I have enjoyed it very much. Thank you.
I'm reminded of the words of Sir Patrick Stewart in Star Trek Generations. That Time is just a companion to remind us to cherish the times before. For these will never come again!
this angelic man and his blessed song saved my life so many times in the 80's and early 90's. life was tough but i kept playing my JT album and this was and is my favorite song. my children and i saw him in concert with carole king at the oakland coliseum not so many years ago. it was like going to choir practice. all 18 thousand of us knew every word of every song, when to pause, when to speed up, it was so spiritual. thanks for my life, james.
One of my favorite JT songs. Criminal that they didn't show his hands playing though. He made complex acoustic guitar playing look smooth and effortless.
Not complex at all, very simple, but a GENIUS arrangement,,definitely not complex...the Genius of James taylor is taking the very simple and arranging it in a way that is incredible....simple, but Genius, incredible
We were a gentle generation. 😢 The present generation could learn much from us. This was played at the end of the first episode of Third Rock From The Sun.
James wrote a special song worthy of a live audience. Perhaps Carly could have given her vocals a try with him in a duet. Two unique singer/ songwriters who have amazing gifts. Back in the day, Dick Cavett only interviewed or showcased the best.
James, - lovely rendition of a WONDERFUL song. Lordy, I love this.... such - truth and authenticity. I love the later versions too, but this one is still wonderful. It seems sometimes as if there is an "apologetic" attitude in play -WHY? it is real and authentic. Reach out if you haven't grasped it yet - because you can -
To be signed by the Beatles has to be very significant in writing and songs sung. Jt is up there with them all. Him and Gordon are my favorites besides csn.

Great song, for sure - sure would've appreciated the cameraman showing what James was actually playing on the guitar, for us fellow pickers...sheesh...

Nope, it is not a presumptuos title at all, sir! It is the secret of life - this was decades before people would read about being present or being in the moment..
But, nobody ever lost a buck to...WHO? Edit: ''Nobody ever lost a buck to underestimating the taste of the American public.'' Well, that's no secret. LMAO! Twenty seconds in.
