I'm 34 and this song is my childhood. It made you feel things.... kinda like Stickerbrush Symphony of Donkey Kong Country 2 but in different ways. There was something magic about this. It suited the Ice Palace, and seemed to have an epic feeling to it... old midi/synth game soundtracks are WAY too underrated now. Sad, really. And dude, your baby falling asleep to this, that's beautiful and adorable mate. Congratulations on being a parent too! :) happy for you and your partner!
Excellent comparison to Stickerbrush Symphony, a weird gem among an already wonderful soundtrack, that yet somehow went further, made you put down your controller, and just listen for a while. @@lloydnorval1989
Definitely in my top 5 of this game. My favorite is the sunken continent once it resurfaces. The track you get on/near the surface. I believe it was called the dark star.
This music is so deep in my mind, everytime i see something about a castle in the snow, it cames to my mind. Tonight I just saw someone playing minecraft building a fortified town on a snowy place, and here I am now... Secret of Mana had so many good tunes, it's incredible ! It's been almost twenty years I played this for the first time and it's still one of my favorite game. A good music being essential to make a good RPG game, I don't see how it could be different ! The most incredible thing is that even if this music is amazing, it's not my favorite of the game. "The dark star" or "Still of the night" are amazing too. I don't thing I ever played a game with a soundrack rivalising with this one.
The ost sound tracks in this whole game is great. This and the legend ost from this game is my favorite. But this one in particular is great when listening to during the rain fall weather.
