The White House was briefly locked down after a shooting occurred nearby. President Obama was not on the grounds at the time of the shooting, but security quickly mobilized after the gunshots went off. Chip Reid reports.
@Benny/ top of the tops definition of gun down (gunned down, gunning down, guns down): to shoot someone with a gun. That guy got shot, therefore he was gunned down. Your brain was the one that suggested he was killed so that's your problem 😂
@@yuh6286 Except the language used is clearly meant to signify something other than what happened. They could have easily said "Secret Service Shoots Armed Man" They chose their language carefully.
If I watch the video, I don't get the impression that this man thought he could get near the entrance, he wanted to get past the first row of agents with guns.
Back in the 80s me and my girlfriend drove across the country and one of the places we stopped was the White House. I parked right in front of the White House and got a parking ticket, went inside for a free tour 🇺🇸 Love the freedom we used to have
They are called the Secret Service because of their original role, to investigate counterfeit money etc. "secretly" established by Lincoln. Uniformed SS officers are meant to visible to deter threats etc.
Those are the uniform division of the secret service, they are kinda like the FBI (law enforcement) the Field agents in charge of protecting the President are dressed in suits and harder to identify for obvious reasons...........
“Armed man is shot and taken into custody outside of White House” or “by secret service” would be a better title than “gunned down” when he was only shot once and later arrested.
@Joshua Rosete It's still misleading. If people saw that title and not bothered to watch or look into it more then they would think the person was shot multiple times until they died because that's what most people think of when they hear "gunned down". Not getting shot once and then arrested afterwards. There are so many ways they could've worded it and they chose the one that sounds like a merciless execution lol
These criminals should feel blessed they are still alive. They should give thanks to the Secret service for doing a commendable job and have a second chance at life. Great job secret service.
THIS is a MASSIVE WASTE of tax dollars. Our tax dollars should NEVER be wasted protecting ANY politician. I thank scientists and mathematicians for their hard work. I thank Dr Anthony Fauci and the virologists at the CDC and the vaccine manufacturers and the drug manufacturers. They actually SERVE the public. Secret Service and soldiers and police are just terrorists.
@@alexm566 Not unless we have a 249 we don't. We are trained to fire our M4's on semi. More accurate fire and you conserve ammo longer. I'm sure there are more reasons that an infantry could give you as I'm MI. I've shot my M4 on full auto once in 4 years and it was just to burn through extra ammo at the range.
@@Whrees i know, but they must uphold this crooked as state laws so therefore they ruin the lives of people just trying to get by in the world to feed their families
[333] GetShrektOnM8 lmfao this was a whole three years ago and you’re commenting too hmm, seems a bit contradicting don’t you think you oblivious mutt.
For those complaining about the suspect being shot once: Gunned down means to be shot by a gun, and does not require an entire magazine/clip/cylinder to be shot at a target. People watch too much gang movies. EX: A cowboy (playing poker) was gunned down when a criminal walked up behind victim and blew his head off with a single shot
I remember seeing this on TV when I lived in Pinellas Park Florida at the time. I was probably only about 22 years young at the time. Maybe even younger.
"even on the white house roof" as if there isnt always someone up there... lol you cant even see that tehres already one up there at 1:30 they are trying way too hard
@@lilakibler2762 no its not its very likely he was cause trump golfs very often unlike obama and its said how you have to make this into an argument when I just wanted to say that incase he didnt know
On Point Dogs for real, maybe trigger happy officers gotta go through SS training but then again that would require actual qualifications in order to even be considered to do the job lol
@@hbcufootballmatters3425 So? He stills wastes time and money golfing. Also, the orange pig makes the secret service pay millions for his little vacations. He wastes far more than Obama.
This is too scary. I am going to watch something else and come back later to see if is under control. My anxiety level is making me all tense in the stomach. Thank God my doctor sent me my meds that keep me calm.
I was talking about the other guy, if you look it up he made it 80 feet (somewhere around there) into the White House before he got tackled inside the East Room
Height of the fence isn't the problem. Perhaps if the cops and Uniformed SS did a better job of protecting the outer perimeter of the building he wouldn't have jumped the fence
0:27 I never noticed it before, but in that detail I can see that he has a Presidential Seal logo belt buckle. (I was more interested in the MP5 before.)
Manchu Ratt that’s not funny ur talking about a suicidal person and saying cops would have ended it for him but u know edgy jokes r still funny to some
It's all about the control of powers and excess wealth. Who would need tight security and who would fear getting attack when they don't have both. It could be either you were hated or causing hates or not using your powers and wealth towards goodness.
