Amen, I started working when I turned 13, I've been paying SS all my working life, I am 55 years now and still paying into it. I used to get Social Security letters telling me the amount I would qualify if I could no longer work. But thanks to George W.Bush and his imaginary Iraqi threat, I no longer get those letters. Social Security funded the Iraqi war. He made on effort to pay back into it, he left things as is. And now Social Security being given to people who did not put into Social Security. And sadly it is in the state its in. Social Security is treated like an ATM machine and a piggy bank.

The truth is that doesnt go to non payees! SS comes from your pay roll taxs..look at your pay stub! SS never accounts for inflation and is somewhat a Ponzi scheme. Money paid out now comes from current pay roll taxs and the amount coming in is less than the amount going to recipients. The work base is shrinking. there are 29 million fewer full time jobs now than in January of 2020 and 100,000 fewer than even a year ago. Baby boomers are retied Majority of jobs are low pay /low skill and being filled by migrants. Look at what Tyson is doing. Bush suggested what Cassidy proposed 20 yeas ago and democrats torpedoed it.

I don't buy what they say about SS/Medicare. We have millions on the dole their entire lives who never pay a cent in taxes. When they get Medicaid they also get dental and vision and many don't pay a cent for any of it. Seniors have to pay a monthly premium on Medicare plus deductibles even though we paid taxes for it our entire working lives. We also get no dental and vision. If they can go trillions of dollars into debt to pay for the current people on the dole plus add millions of more via letting illegal invaders on the dole then they can pay back all they stole from Social Security. I don't believe letting millions sit on welfare is cheaper than what it costs for Social Security/Medicare.

Stop paying SSDI to people who haven't paid into it!! I know 25 year olds receiving thousands monthly; they have to be taking the money of those who have been working for many years and contributing. All social security should be pro-rated to the amount contributed by the individual!

@@Brucev7 they said the same thing about henry ford. when he opened his model t new factory. he was offering a days pay the same as the rest was paying a week. and he also offered 40 hour work week, when the normal work week 58. 5 days at 12 hours and 8 on sat. they called ford a fool and would go broke, saying they will never change what they paid or the hours. guess what who works 58 hours a week now?
