I've watched this video numerous times and each time I feel more empathy for the mountains it given me a lot as it did my twin brother Paul. Here's to all who have lived and worked there over generations and to the mountains and valleys that make up this awesome part of the world. Mark
Watching this after just completing The Monk's Trod by foot. What a stunning part of the UK and the most special in my mind. It touched my soul and I will continue to visit as regularly as i can for as long as possible.

Rural depopulation is EXACTLY what nature needs. So this is a great thing if rewilding is to succeed without over bearing, overgrazing & intense management from farmers...
How exactly am I ignorant when i and my forefathers for generations have worked day and night trying scratch a living so that people can eat i know our section of the cambrians better than you tenfold and that it cant support these plans. All we would do is ship farmers out of their homes and lose thousands and thousands of acres of food producing land this would have a large effect on welsh culture and the language, just as it did in the middle of last century when the valleys were flooded to make water for english homes. i think its stupid of you to identify as welsh by speaking the language while also supporting the evacuation of a historic welsh region. You might as well go and listen to the preachings of george monbiot and how he’d oversee the deconstruction of mid wales. When i as someone who is not ignorant continue to plant trees where i can and create a biodiversity, which is something that farmers are willing to improve and expand on instead of having to pack up and leave.
Btw i think itd still be pretty boring if it was just one huge wood even if that tgat was possible. It would kill the soul of the place and ruin the views
