9:08 - 9:55 describes me perfectly. Unfortunately, I quit. I can't get myself to pray anymore. Every time I try, I either get enraged, and flooded with emotions from my past or I have absolutely nothing to say. He's become like a good friend of yours that you don't talk to anymore because you feel betrayed. Even if you try, it doesn't feel the same. Such a shame.

You have the right to turn away and reject Him. He created it perfect and He will RESTORE it in the end. I don’t believe as believers we’re always praying selfishly, many of us are praying for deliverance, guidance, protection and others that really matters according to His will and the answer or answers doesn’t manifest itself. That can really trouble your faith no matter how much you read or pray. Easy for others to say to hang in there when things are going well for them. It will not cause you to doubt your salvation but in silence you say to yourself, what do I do or not do...

I hate when people say “if it’s God’s will, He will answer”. Why wouldn’t it be God’s will for healing? Why would he not want you to be healthy and well? It doesn’t make sense.

God spoke to me through you today. I had this exact question and this video really helped me. I got to a low place recently, was incredibly depressed and hopeless after losing my job and falling ill, but I chose reading the bible over doing something terrible to myself. I know a lot of people that don't pray and don't even believe in God but they lack nothing. They have good lives and prosper in everything they do. I've been praying for a job for 7 years and I've applied for more than 8,000 jobs. I have two masters degree. People that don't even pray get the jobs I want. People much less qualified. I am in a similar place. I've had to work odd jobs amd haven't been able to find jobs catered to what my degree/passions were. Grateful for something, but it feels like God is harder on his children but let's the wicked have everything. I feel passed over by God repeatedly no matter how I try to obey, pray, and fast.

A lot of people complaining about not receiving answers to prayers. If people continue to live in sin and will not fully trust God then how can they expect to receive answers to their prayers? I have two pieces of scripture to support my statement. Numbers 20:8-13 Moses was commanded by God to speak to the rock in order for it to yield its water. He struck the rock twice before all the assembly disobeying God. God says to them because you did not BELIEVE IN ME you you shall not bring this assembly into the land I promised them. 1 Samuel :10-35 God rejects King Saul because he disobeys his command. Through Samuel God instructs King Saul to wipe out the Amalekites. He says to spare nobody but Saul keeps some of the livestock and allows king Agag to live knowing that was not what God commanded. There is a recurring theme and it's disobediance. If Moses hadn't struck the rock twice God would have allowed him and the assembly to enter the promised land and he would have allowed King Saul to continue his kingship leading God's people. The point is if we're unwilling to listen and obey God then we can't expect to receive what we ask for. It wouldn't be right for the Lord to give you your answer to prayer if you're living in sin and not honouring God.

You can get into a lot of trouble when you venture into the territory of "could it be?". Your heart can misguide you to see what you want to see. "Could it be?" is like guessing. Why not get full assurance from God by way of an answered prayer?

What about the little girls who are molested for years who pray please Jesus make him stop, but it never does. Why isnt God/Jesus answering those prayers?? Is God allowing it for his own purposes as part of his big "plan"??
Jesus uses us humans as His hands and feet and mouth. Little girls (and big girls, and anyone) need to learn how to ask for help, and to find someone who will be big enough and strong enough to make this stuff stop. It only takes one incident of telling one "mandated reporter," a teacher, a doctor, a nurse, a pastor, even a Sunday School teacher-- a janitor at school, for Pete's sake! His "plan" is for it to stop and for healing to begin, but the person being hurt has to reach out and ask another human, for it to stop.

I am a sex addict -once an addict always an addict.- I prayed for more than fifteen years for deliverance but none came. People even prayed for me and laid hands on me but nothing. I was still overcome. Was it not God's will that I stop using porn? Yes it was and still is. It is God's will that you are not consumed with lost as well. IS IT YOURS? Are you willing to give God your sexuality? In Daniel 3 the three Hebrew men were about to be thrown into the firery furnace and they would still not bend to the idol. Their response to the king, beginning in ver 16 was our God is able to save us, but IF HE DOES NOT we still will not now to your idol. They gave their lives 100% into God's hands. REGARDLESS of the outcome they would worship God and not the image. Not until I gave God my sexual appetite did I have any power to resist or think on something else. I was afraid that if I let go of my sexual appetite then i would not have as much "fun." I never thought that the peace I would gain would more than make up for the "fun" I thought I would miss out on. I am free now because I have given it to God yet I still slip at times. That is not because God is not there but because God has set me free, I am free to make a choice, do I want God or do I want sex. Freedom in Christ is real. You now have the freedom to choose what you want to do whereas before you give it to God the devil has you enslaved. You have no choice when enslaved. God gives you a choice but you are the one who must make the choice. That is what the apostle means when he says "when the Spirit sets you free you are free indeed." You have a choice and you make the choice when you surrender all to God. God gives you the power when you surrender yours to Him. It not easy and the longer you wait to give it to Him the harder it will be. I have been there. But the difference between a righteous person and an righteous person is that the righteous person gets up after he falls. Proverbs says, "A wicked man falls once but a righteous man falls 7 times." You can't fall more than once if you don't get up. Look up my friend. Cast all your cares on Him for He cares for you. Besides all that, wet dreams are the natural, God designed way to release. I have only had 2 wet dreams but that is only because I masterbate instead of waiting for the natural way. I wish I had your strength and would wait for wet dreams instead of taking things into my own hands.
Well you are a healthy person to be having desires. And that’s why God is not responding to you. He can’t take something good from you. Find love and enjoy a healthy life instead.
Why do you not feel free to worship God with this "problem?" Have you ever questioned the source of your "shame" and considered other places to worship God or other sources of guidance besides those who are making you miserable? God knew what He was doing when He created male and female... Consider seeking out a Christian with more than pastoral training, who can begin helping you learn the necessary social skills to meet and interact with an appropriate life partner. Sorry, but this is why and how the race of humanity continues! I agree with Sali 10 below, but it's not as easy as waving a magic wand--you may have to learn new skills, and there are professional persons out there who can help teach them, appropriately, consistent with your Christian values. HELP ME PLEASE... I called out to the lord with all of my heart and soul for help and cure but its been 4 weeks now and my symtops are just slowly getting worst and worst. Since ive been sick i was so stressed and worried i went to the doctors for diagnose of everything i can think of such as heart, lungs, brain, or any organ failure or deseases in my body but nothing was every found. So now i am just back home hopelessly in pain and sickness unlike i ever experienced before. My symptoms started it iut as chest pain, then breathing complications and then to an unexplainable severe headche and now blind eyes and back and forth on the headche and eyes and just 4 hours ago idk waht happen whether i was stress or too dizzily eveb in my sleep. I woke up felt like i couldnt recall who i am and my surrounding almost ad if i completely lost myself for a good 10 minutes and was so shocking and unexplainable. Please anyone help pray for meeee oh lord anyone please. My unexplain severe headche and blind eyes. According to the word of God, faith is how you get your prayers answered. And for faith, first the will of God should be known. For example, if it's healing that you're praying look in the word what it has to say about healing. Yes, healing is a will of God. (3 John 1:2 Beloved, I pray that in every way you may prosper and enjoy good health, as your soul also prospers). While Jesus was walking the Earth, He healed so many people, and He also said He came here not to do His will but the WILL OF THE FATHER. And secondly, patience is very important when you're asking God for something. James 1:4 states --- LET PATIENCE HAVE HER PERFECT WORK. So while praying for something, Know that the thing you're praying for falls within the will of God and that you have faith and patience. I don't choose to believe what this preacher is teaching. God promises happiness and joy for his children. Tell me how you can really be Happy when your body is in pain. God gives salvation and He also gives PHYSICAL HEALING. Most often times, the people that complain that they are not healed are the ones who lack faith and patience. God is faithful, He will keep His promises.

Read the KJV bible Btw, you NEED to beleive that you receive what you pray for, when you pray! King Hezekiah Prayer was answered but his end was Bad real bad along with the Kingdom. king Solomans Prayer was answers even He ended up very badly by diving the Kingdom. priest Eli’s prayer was answered but he died along with his two sons. it doesn’t matter whether your all prayers are answered or not. things are not in our control. Some things we do not understand. but the most important thing is How we end not how we start. or whether my prayers answered or not ? Look at the Poor Lazarus but ended up with a great way.
At one point he says God answers prayers, just not in a way we realize or recognize or want to accept but then later he says unanswered prayers create resilient faith within us, that confuses me
Then why pray at all, God's just going to do what he wants to do anyway. He hears our prayer and then decides to answer it in a completely different way, so why bother? This whole sermon tells everyone not to expect my prayers to get answered to just get used to disappointment and people dying and prayers of healing not being answered. Then why read those scriptures that talk about how if we ask will receive if we knock the door will be opened if we seek we'll find? My brother reading any of those? The vast majority of Christians don't get supernatural answers. I've seen there's only a small percentage of Christians that get answers exactly how they ask for them. It isn't fair.

Like a good Christian....I volunteered to work in isolation for 6 months this year at the covid19 units....do you know how God's plan rewarded me for my sacrifice ?.....my fiancee, and girlfriend of 8 years broke off our engagement. Hallelujah praise God right ? HIs ways are beyond our understanding....letting me spend 8 years of my life thinking I was building towards marriage...only to take it away. God's plan is God's plan. You will never know what God' s will is on any aspect of your life, until after it happens. So? God doesn't answer all prayers? Not what Jesus stated in John's Gospel Chapter 14? "Whatsoever you ask the father in my name he will give it to you". So? That wasn't the truth?
Read the verse u just wrote again and put emphasis on "In my name" when we say "in Jesus name" after prayers it means that we're asking for something that aligns with God's will. If he doesn't answer, it might not be in his will for you to have that.
Also have to look at what the people in the bible went through as well. Some prayers never got answered. Here are several examples. The slaves of Egypt. Took 400 years for God to answer that prayer. So there was many who never had a chance to see that day come. Jesus even had a prayer denied him. When he was in the garden. Asking for God to take that cup from him if there was another way. He shed blood cause he's anxiety and stress was off the chart but God still said no. My will be done. Took over 40 or 50 years for Joseph? So have to really rethink this idea about God answering prayers.................
What is weird is god seems to only answer my prayers about petty things but not the things that matter most of the time its like i will pray for a blunt to smoke a few days later i have one but if i pray for something important like for my severe mental illness to go away he dousnt do anything and if i pray for someone not to die they die anyways i dont understand
I only know of a few times He chose to delay ( but we all die eventually) the death of a human. He also does not likely change our height or IQ or skill sets, but He may have had a reason for creating you in your own uniqueness. Are you aware that finding a blunt to smoke may be exactly what could be undoing the beneficial effects of medication once you are in fact in treatment and stabilized? You do have a certain amount of free will in such matters, and He does not generally railroad us against that free will. But if you choose within your own free will to seek Him out and ask how He wants you to help other people/... be careful what you ask for!!!

The bible teaches the apostle paul was an expert in judiasm, he converted to Christianity, the road to Damascus he heard and saw Jesus, a Christian came and prayed for him and scales fell from his eyes, if God blessed us to experience the truth of someone with faith praying for us that experience would help with faith! In other words if you are a church leader can you pray and in the name of Jesus to heal the sick? The apsotles were giving that gift! So if you are true followers of Jesus can you pray in his name and heal others?...
GOD does know what we need before we ask, thats the reason the doubt creeps in, we are all born to die, yet in truth God sees our life as forever ,because at any given time God can bring death to life, we cannot , God can!...that is truth, but is it no also true the holy prophet Elijah had to go to God with sorrow and grief to help the family? Why wait until the end of days to fix what is broken all around us, the Jewish children are chosen by God, I pray they will have health and wisdom for these days, the gentiles preach work and often work in fields against the bible, I pray gentile leaders will learn the will of God and have health and wisdom to teach others what the will of God is, so we all can worship and live in the will of God with peace from God, amen!

I been and wanted to believe in God for years but it’s true he probably don’t exist. I mean when you been worshiping for years and you thought you felt connected. I haven’t seen anything to show that God is real or that he answers in prayer. I grew up in the church have a pastor as a family member. Nothing really has shown me anything. I give it a try over and over and just leave more disappointed. So I just came to conclusion he don’t exist
The answer was through the Prophet. When Elijah asked the widow to cook the last food she and her son had left, Elijah gave the message to the widow about the promise of God. When you ask something from God, ask with faith. From this context, God answered the prayer through faith. If you read until the last words of the verse, after he cooked that last food, the flour and oil never ran out til the rain came. Obedience and faith. ❤
Whats so ironic is people always say "in Gods time"....but.....isnt time a man-made concept?????? So if time is man-made, yet everything is in God's 'timing'....is god also man-made???????????????????????????????
I LOVE THIS! I used to ask these questions since I was 7 years old, and my teachers had no answers! As I i see it now, "time" is necessary for us to not see the future in our present human condition, but to have free will or at least an illusion of free will in this linear time. We are stuck in apparent linear time. It's not necessarily a matter of just sitting back and "doing time," as if we were in prison, but of USING that time to mature in specific areas, to act and impact in specific areas, to put time and events in motion so that antecedents can occur before what we want can occur... The answer ,keep the holy sabbath., know the old testament Jesus was an expert in, so if you follow Christ, learn who Christ really was, ....he worshiped as a jew not on Sunday the sabbath day!
God is limited by his will, if he does not want to do something he will not do it. I'll never understand God and how he sees it just to have a time period of suffering from Adam from the garden till the great white throne judgement when he will make all things new(except for the damned) when he could have stared with perfect people, no Satan, no tree of knowledge of Good and Evil, but instead we all have to go through this period of "testing" because he wills it, this allows for the worst thing possible to happen= eternal torment for the lost. "my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts are higher than you thoughts' are just God's way of saying screw you pitiful human, excuse me God but I never asked to be born, I didn't asked to inherit Adam's sin. Is sin greater than Jesus sacrifice on the cross ? revelation and other scripture would seem to point to that.

Prayer is 100% meaningless. Prayer is for those apparently not happy with their god’s arrangement and insist they themselves can instruct him to do better. If god made a divine plan, then everything is already set in stone and prayer can’t possibly work.
Dare to ask god to answer & confirm a reasonable prayer request ! and give him a reasonable time - like a week or so to respond and communicate clearly with you ! - and you will see with LOGICAL REASONING THAT HE DOES NOT ANSWER BECAUSE HE DOES NOT EXIST !!
