We went wild swimming at Gaddings Dam near Todmorden that has been described as England’s highest beach. It does have a small sandy type beach area. It is no longer a reservoir and is now a perfect spot for wild swimming.
Always take precautions and avoid swimming alone. Don’t stay in the water too long if it is cold
