Sorry, but I think the way he loose-links the shell quickmatch to the lift leader and timefuse cross-match is damned flaky! He's relying only on 'proximity' ignition. Personally, I'd like to see it all clove-hitched together before closing the paper wrap. Maybe their long experience has proven that it's good enough, but it makes me feel uneasy. On another front, it made me cringe the way the guy was leaning over the mortars while inserting squibs into the quickmatch leaders. Seemed like an accident waiting to happen! But, that's just me...
Well when you dont have a port to insert the e match into and fire it the only thing you can do is pull the cover back and slide it directly into the match ... like it or not it works.. and in all reality that little bit of friction isnt likely to cause the match to light anyhow... and I'm highly doubting that the cameraman was allowed to to stick his hear over a loaded mortar he probably had the camera on a boom arm... there were a few things I noticed that weren't the best practice but zambelli has been number one in the pyro business in the us for a long long time and for good reason...
Sucks they lost there whole "steam" cuz they weren't allowed to do it on New Years Eve. It kind of just took the wind out of there sails. Before long, "All firework companies will be regulated out of business because there is just too much room for injuries. Before long, we will all be expected to live in little 5X9 padded houses for our own safety and will have everything brought to us that has been passed through Government agencies to make sure everything is okay and safe for us to continue to eat, breath, shit and piss. I mean, that is all humans are good for anyways, right. (unless we are ruining the environment or the animals or causing chaos for Earth). We have entered a time where "Mankind is in Slavery" because we don't understand what is best for us, lol.
