So far, the best snorkeling directly off the resort beach has been in the Caribbean - St Lucia and Grenada for us :)

@@packdog70 I truly loved both so much so it’s hard to say…. sandals Grenada was more romantic, so if I was going for an anniversary or honeymoon, I would pick sandals Grenada. But just a fun vacation? Probably secrets :)

Thank you! We only stayed 3 nights, 4 days because we have a baby girl at home and this was our first trip away from her. She had a blast with her grandparents and we would have LOVED to stayed longer! Next time!

Was there daily music/entertainment by the pool during the day? Seems like a relaxing vaca but I’m thinking about going for my bday and wanna make sure i don’t get bored

Yes, there are three different pools. One is quiet and relaxing, but also next to a sports bar. Then between the main two pools, there was live music and organized games in the afternoons - they were pretty fun :) there are also activities each afternoon you can go to like a tequila tasting, cooking class, dance lessons, etc. I’d just show up a few minutes early to the activities because they do fill up

Hi! We loved secrets Maroma, and wanting to try Sandals St Lucia or Grenada. I saw you didn’t have the best experience with St Lucia. Can I ask why? And also how would you compare the service / experience of secrets compared to Grenada? Thanks!

Do I just contact the hotel to get transportation from airport?

Yes Secrets can arrange the whole transfer from the airport to the resort for you, and they email you your confirmation information

Great video! I saw you ordered room service. Can you also order alcoholic drinks to the room like cocktails etc?

Thank you! No I don't believe we were able to order any cocktails or wine to the room. However, we booked a Preferred Club level room which has it's own full-service bar with a snack buffet all day long and it is only steps away from the preferred club building. So if we wanted a drink in our room, my husband would just run down and grab one himself from the preferred lounge and I believe it was much quicker than room service would have been anyways :)

Your room does have beer stocked in the mini fridge daily, and as a preferred club level room we were also given our choice of one full-size bottle of liquor. We picked tequila. When in Mexico!

I have been here twice yesterday you can order drinks to your room. You can order a bottle of wine but it's extra. You can order multiple glasses no problem no charge.

How could you miss the incredible coral reef just off the beach? Every time I have been to Akumal I have seen turtles, rays, barracudas and schools of fish.

I’m just speaking to my experience - the snorkeling directly off the resort beach was uneventful for us. I’m sure there are many other great snorkeling spots, if you do leave the resort! :)
